She's a Singaporean who sings mostly in English but develops her career singing in English and, later, Japanese.
Olivia moved to Japan to further her studies and career as a solo artist. In Japan, she became a member of a Japanese pop (J-pop) group called Mirai, before she released her bestselling debut A Girl meets Bossanova at only 19. She is one of the new wave of Singapore talent being exported internationally. So far, Olivia is the only pop sensation exported exclusively to Japan.
Even though I adore Keroppi, that doesn't mean I like frogs. Frogs still ok, but not toads please!!! I don't know how I'll react if I ever see one in front of me. My dad is really scared of them. That's funny when he's not scared of anything else. He told me when he was small, he ever watched a horrifying movie about toads. He guessed that's why he's afraid of them. But who know when he worked in American Club Chinese Section, he couldn't run away from the frogs. No matter how he avoided them, he needed to handle them. I cannot imagine how his expression when he handled them the 1st time. My dad try to avoid them, bcos he think it's bad to kill them alive. But again he can't choose jobs, especially when there're people who like to eat them.
I started to watch Bollywood films two years ago. I was captivated by their love story esp. their dancing & singing.. Some can be really touching.. Their gestures & movements tell a million story. Through Bollywood films, I got to know
Aishwarya Rai
Definitely, I never missed Provoked, an English production, based on the issue of family violence
A woman from India, married to London. Because of her inability to speak English, she didn't have any friends. She's so helpless, at the mercy of her abusive husband... Until one day, she retaliated back by setting fire on him. She was sentenced to life-imprisonment, and her mother-in-law forbided her children to visit her. She met a cell mate, an English woman. This English woman taught her English and got her brother, a lawyer, to fight for her appeal.. She missed her children, and she definitely wanted to get released to be with them.
"Even if you tell a true story, a true story is never really a true story. How do you define the truth? None of us were really there and obviously the recollections of people who were there have changed now. Ultimately I do have to tell an engaging story. If I can't tell an engaging story no matter what cause is at stake, nobody will see it." the director
Somehow I still prefer the old local dramas produced by SBC
my favourites..
舞谢歌台 with my fav song 温柔的夜
This story is about the singing life 歌台 in the old days, revolving 2 generations.. My 怀旧 again.. How I wish this drama to be shown again, bcos it got the glimpse of my Wonderland too.
it's about 2 girls born on the same year same month & same day. They became sworn sisters. The good one got repeated betrayals from the other. and definitely, the good one had a better life...
A mother was jailed bcos of her gambler husband. She was released years later. To her dismay, all her beloved children had being sold away by her heartless husband. She was determined to find all her children to have a reunion...
But I'm glad I still have good ones stored in my memory bank..
I used to stay near Kallang MRT. The place has been demolished, to make way for new developments. I was glad that, 8 years ago, I actually went back & stayed for a week. This short stay definitely refreshed me.
I remembered...
My parents esp my mum would always bring me to 欢乐世界 Happy World or Gay World,an empty plot of land now. At that time, 1 movie ticket costed $1.50 at the Happy theatre. Before or after the show, we would go to the emporium nearby. Not to forget, my parents used to have their dates at Gay World Stadium, watching basketball matches
Once, there weren't any great shows. So we hopped to the Malay theatre & watched a movie about Black Magic. It was quite terrifying, with lots of snakes crawling..
Finally found this video at YouTube. Really happy to catch the glimpse again.
Sometimes my parents brought me to Wonderland, near to the Indoor Stadium now. I missed the Doo Doo train, cup&saucer, games; and an old uncle taking pics. I regretted for not taking one though.
There was an incident when one of my slippers fell to the track while taking the train. My mum retrieved it for me, only to realise I was barefooted on both legs. I've kicked the other to the drain. Oops, so naughty..
"Few years ago, I watched the interview on the owner of Wonderland. It was so sad that a millionaire like him, has been reduced to a pauper, bcos of his kidney failure. When he was rich, he did lots of entertaining- lots of alcohol & unhealthy foods. He regretted for not taking care of his health & following the doctor's advice earlier. Despite his illness, his beloved wife is always there with him."
Sometimes we watched movies at the Leisure Park too. Its nearby the Wonderland. I missed the ice cream & burger..
