The Cocteau Twins song is "Rilkean Heart" - The Leonard Cohen song would be on the one CD I own of his, but I don't have it in iTunes and the CD is in storage... somewhere. Someday I'll see it and remember the name of the album at least.

lol - I just read my guest book and found you already did try to help out... lol. thanks.... Yeah... I see that people compare them to Prince... not sure I'd agree with that... I think they're more like an interesting version of the more generic 80's music... that sounds like I'm downing them, I'm not... but I WILL find this song and post it. Want to know something funny? I had this exact same thing happen once with a Cocteau Twins song... and then one day a friend had me listen to some Leonard Cohen music and there it was! The exact same song. I actually emailed the official fan site of the cocteau twins this info and I got an email back directly from the guitarist of the Twins who said basically "Yes... it's true.... good song though isn't it?"

It happens sometimes where people re-write other people's music totally unaware.

Okay Tom - saw you write on Patrick's blog... help me out.... What song is MGMT's "Electric Feel" just like... there is a really popular 80's song that sounds just like this - you know which one it is... I think there's a rif in there where it says "girl - friend" (the beats) "t think... " but I can't remember!

The one I'm reading now (The Convenient Marriage) is comical. It's like Snatch or The Crazy Stone. Centers around a couple and the people around them are maneuvering and challenging and conniving around each other. HIghly entertaining, this one.

Oh my, I've read 57 books this year so far. That's a record! haha. The only reason I'm tracking them (1st time) is for blogging purposes. Maybe do a top-10 or something - if I can remember the plots of some of them. ;D

I was perusing the local community college's course catalog. Some interesting classes, such as the history of film, music of the 50s, 60s or 70s. Would be cool to audit some of them. Or not. lol

Undecided huh, sound like someone I know :-) I wish I can tell you it get better but with all the educations, I still can't afford paying back the student loan if you know what I mean...But one thing I can say is if it feels right, go for it...that is the one thing I regret the most...I let all the practical thoughts get in the way and its very costly to fix the decision afterward but that is what I'm doing right now unfortunately...
