Underworld's lyrics

2 commentsHave any of you ever heard of Underworld? They had a few popular singles back in the '90s and early 2000's, including Cowgirl, Born Slippy (NUXX), and Two Months Off.
I've been thinking a lot about Karl Hyde's lyrics to those tunes lately because they, unlike most lyrics I've heard/read, seem to be a simple constant stream of thought that he pours on the paper and sings back. I have to wonder how much crap he gets before he writes a hit....
an example:
Two Months Off (read the lyrics first and then listen to the song)

What do you think? They seem to make much more sense when they're being sung don't they?
