I hate Windows

Computer died last night.
I went to restart it and it told me that my system file (registry issue) was corrupted. So I thought to myself "No biggie, I'll just go into safemode to do a system restore."
Started safemode.......same issue.
Then it was time for a manual system restore through the recovery console! That didn't work either.
After banging my head on the table for an hour or so I copied the system file from the recovery folder (which I think is in C:\Windows\Recovery) over.
WINDOWS BOOTS AGAIN SUCCESS!
but wait! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It wasn't fixed and I ended up getting into a boot loop because I should have copied the security folder over too.
Then the Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows saved my life.....
As if sent down from heaven I booted up from it into a pseudo safe-mode and, with the tools provided, I was able to completely roll back the registry and now my computer works again.
THANK YOU UBCD4WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recommend everyone that uses windows compile one of these things, ya never know when it could come in handy.
Edit:
Just an afterthought....
You don't know how scary it can be for an artist to ALMOST lose EVERYTHING they've ever created. Think of it as having this nice studio to paint in, then one day it catches fire and you lose hundreds of the pieces you've created. That's what went through my mind, at least.
I know for certain that I'll be spending part of today backing up my hard drive. It seems as though it's on it's way out. =\
