His First Solo Show

His 1st solo exhibition.
His exhibition last month is a success. His work was exhibitied 2 weeks in the Findars space in Annexe. He was invited to exhibite his work in a Digital new media exhibition this coming month and also end of December. I am happy for him ^^
Here is the opening of his show. His friend is playing some experimental music. I find it quite interesting. The music enhanced the cheeky and surrealism of his work. I think the music brough it out to the atmosphere. Though i didn't manage to attend the opening coz i am stuck in client's office rushing project due, but i am glad that they recorded in video.
I catch up to his exhibition on the following weekend. I am happy with his latest exhibition's work. I think is more vibrant and interesting which presented more visual impact. I am not an art critic. I am just judging base on my personal point of view. I am still happy that he willing to try new elements for his work.

Early this month, me, siewmei, chee heng, shyng, jook and hamyu went to yogyakarta Indonesia for 4 days. We booked the air bus ticket since last yr. SO YES THIS IS A LONG WAITED TRIP! This is my first time visiting heritage in ASIAN country. I am exciting to see the beautiful Borobudor and phrambanam temple. They both are so nicely craft i will say. Personally i am more interested on Phrambanam temple due to his legend.
Phrambanam
The summary of the legend is that a prince wanted a princes to marry him. But she doesn't want to so he gave this prince a task to build 1000 temple in 1 night before the sun rise. The prince gather power from the spiritual world and builded 999 temples. The princes noted about it and she assigned village housewife to feed the chicken and setup fire where the sun going to rise. The spirits though is getting "morning" so they dissapear and left a temple unfinish. The prince found out and got very angry. And carsed a spell and turn the princess into a most beautiful stone statue which call Durga Mahisasuramardini. Below is the statue that i grab from wiki. Wiki got more detail about the architecture.
I didn't see it coz many parts of phrambanam temple actually unable to enter anymore. Because most of it are distroy in an earthquake back in 2006. I only manage to enter Nandi's temple. Which is situated in front of shiva's temple. Nandi(bull) is the vehicle of Lord Shiva. So when i go inside, is only a small room space with Nandi's statue in the middle. The room can fit in about 10-15 peoples. And it is without lights.
I am amazed with the details and the structure of phrambanam temples. I love the shapes and design. Of coz i also like the mysterious and fairytale like story behind this architecture.

We posing on a small candhi. I just feel like playing with typo on this batch of photos. No reason behind... just for fun! hehe i love the cropped typo arangement! heart heart, does it looks like magazine cover or print ad? Maybe some looks more like a calander. ehehe...

While setting timer for group shot in Phrambanam,I felt something poking beneath my feet which i tot is tindy stone. WHO KNOWS IS RUSTED WAYER for pagar. Luckily it didn't wound me.
Haha u see all this fella. Shooting my ugly spoilt slipper. I brough this new slipper my brother bought me from BALI. Mayb it has been awhile the glue all not sticky anymore, everything is falling apart. A brand new slipper end up looking at this, top rubber gone and another half falling apart and now poke over by a rusty wayer. Hahaha..
Borobudor
My entry didn't follow the itinerary ya. We visited borobudor before phrambanan. We woke up at 4+ in the morning and departed to Borobudor at 5am. We missed the sunrise. It took 1 hour journey on road to reach Borobudor from our hostel. However, Borobudor only open at 6am and sun rise abt 5.30am in the morning in Yogya. I heard unless we are staying in certain hotel that have special package to see sun rise in Borobudor only can go in early.
Borobudor consist of 7 level. Each level representing each level of something in buddhism... can't remembe rin detail. So when we visit, we should walk around the architexture following clock wise direction.
But i dumb dumb, dunno wat happen to me, i keep on thinking anti-clockwise is clockwise. Brain gone kuku already. Until the end only i notice, Oh-sHIT! i walk the other way round. Anyway, i didn't finish any bottom level. mostly walk half way then turn back coz i can't see any of my friends around. Only the top smallest circle diameter i make a round.

The morning sunlight is so beautiful!. This everything is natural just plc in the maskhead.
You know what so special about each candhi behind us? It looks solid, but actual it is hollow. Inside consist a buddha statue. I wonder what is the meaning behind.

Palangan Guest House
This is behind the cafe area of our guest house. Took this early in the morning on the 3rd day while having buffet breakfast. Top is the root black bar is the root and bottom is the bench. I just lov it so much coz it felt like a movie scene.
I am very impress with the architecture in Yogya. Though their building majority only 1 level or max 2. But many are designed very nicely and each got its own individualistic. No wonder many people say Yogya is a centre of art.
Bird Market
Where do u all wanna go? Bird market. What kinda bird u all looking for? We just wanna walk around. So here we are at the bird market. There are lotsa birds, fish, raptiles and bugs around. I think is more like a pet market. i got this turtle picture... ahah i love turtle! LONG LIFE and STRONG! see them so cute
SM and CH looking at a circus bird which keep on doing back flip for them. So funny.
Inside this bird market hidden a very beautiful and mysterious plc. 1 is an abandone castle. Is not huge but is rectangular in shape and consist of 2 floor. Now there is no more roof top or even walls in some part. Corridor without reeling and so on.... quite scary to go up coz i am fear of height. I just stay here and not going near to the edge. I still had my fun!
I love all the unsimen wall. It has such a wonderful texture! the colour is so nice.

POSE GUYS AND GIRLS!
Actually we didn't pose this much on purpose initially. Just because no1 is holding the camera. I placed my camera on the floor, adjusted the position and set timer. then i run to a spot and wait the timer to click. So each time, there is something not right like some1 close their eyes, some dissapear, some unprepared, some was covered and block. so end up we have so many options.
Beautiful wall on top the water castle.
SM is really a great model to be. She appear very pretty and stylo in every shot!

*NOTE: Behind this water castle, they have this acient bath plc where local still use it to shower. And the important is they have this underground mosque hidden beneath this small village behidn the castle. It has 2 level. I am not sure how far it connected. But is surely interesting having such architecture and city design since ancient time. Is beautiful as well. The interior gave me the impression fromt he movie ":THE CELL" by J.Lo. Surreal staircase. underground tunnels. WOAh.... so mysterious....
If not mistaken, Shyng pointed out we actually visited all 3 main religion architecture in Indonesia. The buddhism temple Borobudor, Hindu temple Phrambanam and this water castle underground mosque. Is all AMAZING and breath taking.
NATURE
Yogya is still preserved their culture strongly. People are friendly and FOOD ARE NICE! is very cheap and is quite easy for Malaysian to coomunicate with them coz our Malay have some similarity. The plc is consider unpolluted. Still got lotsa padi and farm around. But u might smell some burning smoke coz they still burn bushes and they have active volcano there. So sometimes the volcano do release lotsa smoke.
This took behind the padi field of a restaurant we visited before we depart to airport. Sorry Jane, i doesn't know wat does it call.
This is the view i shot not long after we heading home. Yogya from top is breath taking. I tot i flew above egypt. Does it gave u the same feeling?

REDO LUCK IS CURSING ME!!!!!

I doesn't wanna swear but how could i not to when the bad luck keep haunting me like this? Lately things just not smooth at all.... all the project i handle also need to REDO!The previous project when job were seperated according to sections, the sections i handled redo for 2-3 times coz restructuring information hierachy. Changing sitemap during development... not should say after i develop the whole damn thing...
FINE!.... that project is done.... guess only client's fault of being so undecisive that cause all this hassle. Now new project, new client, new job.... BUT the bad luck still hautning me down whever i go! Tot i didn't take your existance into my eyes doesn't mean u can bully me more and more! TOO MUCH! My few night of hardwork on scripting and animation for a CD-ROM content gotto redo almost everthing coz now they changing it into AS3!!!@#$%^&*()!@#$%^&*()!@#$%^&*()
I doens't know AS3, i dun even know how to make a button work in AS3 for god sick! now they wan it tomorrow TOMORROW MORNING! I AM SPEECHLESS..... I AM HELPLESS.... I dunno what to say.... should i bag u to let me go bad luck? STOP ASKING ME TO REDO!
