  • been missing for a long long time

    Sunday, Oct 11, 2009 11:53PM / Standard Entry

I have been missing for a long long time. A month? i can't remember. Basically quite a lot of things going on lately. But mainly caught up in project which dragged, postponed, rushing, reject, and amendments. Bored routine everyday.... work work work... eat eat eat.... OT OT OT... shifting here and there..... that's about it for the pass 2 weeks for me...

before the 2 weeks, i am quite relax and finished 3 books.

Yeap... continue with my Dan Brown obsession, i finished his other 2 books as well. I knew some AnD already told me is not interesting. But i already bough it along with angel and demon so might as well just read it.

As informed, these 2 is way way way tooOOooo boring compare to da vinci code and angel and demon...... But still better than Yacoubian building. .... The Yacoubian building is like very surface and report like.... i did't enjoy this kinda story style... i prefer those story which could make u inmagine as the main charactor and goes along and experience what the character experiecing.

Currently i am reading THE GEOGRAPHER'S LIBRARY. Still going slow... i read it to fall asleep.  hopefully the back of the story will be more exciting... I bough whole set of twilight. Total 4 books that currently sitting on my shelf. Can't wait to start those. Unfortunately won't be that soon... gotto wait until my project end.

  • Obsess with Dan Brown writings

    Monday, Sep 14, 2009 4:50AM / Standard Entry

For the pass whole week i can't move my eye away from Dan Brown's novels. Within the pass week i finished 2 of it novels which is Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.

Although i already watched the movie several times. I like the story but i couldn't fully understand it. Specially Da Vinci Code. Many told me is b/coz is deeply related to the bible. I remember i borrowed the book from a fren few years back and the book sits in my room for about a year and i still couldn't finish. But somehow, i borrowed it from another fren last week and i manage to finished it in just 4 days. And i am so amazed with the detail of the story and a stream of urge makes me went to borders and get 2 more of his book before i finish the one i am reading.

I starts with Angel & demon before Digital Fortress coz the movie is still fresh in my mind. It could help me imagine and understand more while reading through the lines. Again i find Angel & demon is more breath taking. First of all, the story itself is much easier to understand compare to Da Vinci Code. secondly, the book have a very different storyline compare to the movie. I finished it in only 2 1/2 days or less.

5AM, i just finish my book. and i am still awake and excited with how the story ended. Watching the movie is like touring france and Vatican City. Reading his novel is like being in a very interesting time marchine and reading's the artists thoughts.

The most interesting fact is, all the location and assets are real. I can actually google it through internet and look how it actually looks like or the wiki about the story behind those secret society. I just find it so engaging and fun to read. Is so much to learn from these book. I am excited to own Da vinci code myself. But i know i won't be reading it again in a short period of time. So persuiying myself not to get overly excited. Spend money wisely~~~ hohoho i am horible at this.

Dan Brown new book will be out soon call "THE LOST SYMBOL". Gotto wait arrrrr.... purchase now very expensive... GOTTO WAIT!!!!

  • Biggest MONOPOLY in the world

    Saturday, Sep 12, 2009 1:13AM / Standard Entry

Monopoly gets a bigger board starting today, with Hasbro's launch of Monopoly City Streets, a four-month long global online campaign that takes the game into the real world via a range of Google platforms.

Hasbro worked with Tribal DDB London and Google to bring its concept into the real world with Monopoly City Streets, an online game that expands game play to any street in the world.

Armed with a $3million in virtual cash, players can purchase and construct 3D buildings on any street in the world via Google Maps and then get a bird's eye view of their empire through Google Earth. They earn money each day through rent collected from properties owned each day they log on. Players can increase the earning potential of their properties by adding structures like schools or eco-friendly wind farms.

With Chance cards, players can sabotage their opponents by erecting hazards like prisons or sewage plants on competitors' streets or knocking down their properties altogether. As mini-magnates make more bucks, they can level up and develop with bigger and better properties. Anyone who reaches billionaire level will qualify for the Monopoly World Championships.

City Streets is part of Hasbro's marketing push for its new Monopoly City Edition board game. The online game soft launches today, with the official kick off will in October. It will run for four months, ending in January of 2010.

    Their blog site: http://blog.monopolycitystreets.com/

I believe this will be the biggest monopoly in the world. It used google map that cover majority of the earth. Imagine that. According to their blog, the respond is exceeded expectation after few hours that site was launch and made the server on fire. I am not to sure the "FIRE" they mention is only discribtion or is really fire Fire... But is sure is interesting. And imagine the engine behind. All the programming and challenges that gonna face. WOAH LIAO eh.... i dun dare to think. Still not yet register and try out. Coz too excited and wanted to share before i proceed. Is the 1st online campaign which caugh my attention this yr. I believe it will win them big if this 4 months campaign run successful.

In addition, i quite like they have this blog site to get user feedback and communicate with end user. Love it, felt closer to the team and know what is happening behind the scene. ^^
