What can 'WE' do ...?

High inflation, an extreme demand for crude oil, surging food prices and is the U.S and UK going through a recession?. Fast growing economies which have a high depend for oil, but is there enough oil to go around .Where can we get more resources from?. Can BIO-FUEL be the answer?
So are we heading for a global recession, will it be just like the 1980's economic recession?.
