this picture is awesome, I love the feeling that the guy in the picture is looking out a windo with people in a room behind him.

I really like this photograph, there is so much going on.  On the left you have the still life which combines a modernist esthetic with the formal charactistics of a Baroque vanitas painting.  Then in the middle there is this ghostly image of you photographing the scene reflected in the glass, and finally the picture on the right with the nude looking out at us and engaging our eye like a Byzantine icon with the reflections of the crowd (oblivious to this figure)  reflected on the background.  Yet it is the reflected images of you and the crowd that are "real" and the images that look more real are just the reproductions.  This is a great image--self aware without straining to be too self-conscious.

Do you happen to know what church/monastery was converted into this exhibition space?  The art historian in me is looking at the statue columns in the doorway and the gorgeous Plateresquue Gothic altar.  I think Spain has done a good job in conserving a lot of its former monastic buildings and turning them into museums and public exhibition spaces.

While you were in Santiago de Compostella did you make it over to the main pilgrimage church?  It has some truly amazing Romanesque sculpture and architecture.
