Creative Pastry Competition at Pastry Pro

On 28 March 2009, my company organised a competition targeted at students which we named "Creative Pastry Competition". We are having a partnership with Secret Recipe as they are sponsoring the prizes for the winners. We have 2 categories, ie Black Box & One Tier Sugar Paste (hope i get it right, lot memory liao). This is the 1st time my company organised this sort of compeititon in-house, thanks to Tammy (my colleague who championed this cause, well done well done). For an outsider, it may seems like it's easy to organise but once you are game for it, it requires lots of work & follow-up.

Anyway, let's see some of the creations by the students, the students mainly from Taylor's, KDU, MIB & Sugarcarft. Some of them not specialising in pastry studies but still come to participate. SALUTE them... it's a good & eye-opening experience for them. I can see they are enjoying themselves, can see that some really "kan cheong", all sorts of expressions... but for me, it's good to feel young again like them.....being a student is so simple, just study & don't need to worry about other stuff.... Being with them really makes me feel young again coz all of them are still in late teens & early 20's......feel their energy, passion & excitement. Personally i feel this is a good kickstart for my company....hopefully this Creative Pastry Competition will be going on next
year & onwards

AnD Members gathering - February 2009

I initiated a gathering for AnD members which I know in KL last February ...... It should be posted up earlier but I was just too lazy to do it...
Well, only a few members turn up & I'm happy to meet up with all of them & thanks for turning up... he he he...I gotta know more friends which I met online. Honestly I've never meet up with any1 which i know online except people from AnD website
Gotta know that 2 of them are presidents of fan club in Malaysia. Wow wow wow...heard from them on how they use to run their fan club etc.. it really opened up my eyes & mind...tough job but it's really fufilling.
I think most of us who joined this website have some common interest & passion - we have our idols here, we love concerts, we love music, we love movies, etc... (well in my opinion only) hence I'm thinking maybe next time we can organise outing such as going to concerts together, going to movie together, going karaoke perhaps... what else? so many activities that we can do together & i think it'll be fun....Planning for another outing, karaoke perhaps... any1 interested???

Shinjuku Incident - Meet The Fan Session 31 March 2009 at Pavillion KL

Earlier tonight, (oopss, suppose to be yesterday) I went to Pavillion KL to see Daniel Wu & Jackie Chan in person. They are here to promote the film - Shinjuku Incident. Initially it was hot & the 2 DJs (i think it's spelt - Jenson & Mei Yan) is warming up the entire fans over there, they are playing games with the fans... Just when the 1st game about to end, raindrops keeeep falllliiiinnnngggg on my head, within few seconds it became heavy rain & everyone is running for shelter. The DJs only called out Jackie & Daniel after the rain starts to get heavier...& I can't see them from afar....some people came prepared with umbrellas & they stood there waitig for their idols to come on stage. I did not take umbrella with me & I also ran to find a shleter coz it's quite heavy. I went to take an umbrella from my car....when i came back, the meet the fan session about to end... I think they cut short the session coz it's raining & i think it's short-circuit coz i heard some explosion, probably because the lightings got wet. The rain about to stop then but it's over already.. i've not even take a photo of Daniel & Jackie..so sad.. I purposely go there to see them. Wondering when can i see them again. Sigh!! I'm going to Chiang Mai

Yesterday went to MATTA Fair (Malaysia's largest consumer travel fair) & bought myself a package to Chiang Mai. I think it's most value for money package so far. Initially going there to check out Bali & Angkor Wat but the price is not too attractive for me & my friend. You know, we are budget traveller so we are out hunting for good bargain travel packages. The package that we bought is a 4D3N Chiang Mai package which includes return flight ticket, airport transfer, accommodation & city tour plus 2 hrs of traditional thai massage at RM699. I haven't been to Chiang Mai so I decided to take up this package. As for the Bali & Angkor Wat, I can wait until I got a better deal.
There are some other packages which I really tempted to buy but I control myself as 1. No budget & 2. No leave.... Aiyahhhh.... wait till the next MATTA Fair then.
