  • Serena C is here

    Saturday, Aug 9, 2008 6:14PM / Members only

Been busy these few months, with my work, now am back & saw a lot of developments in AnD.  And very surprised to see Serena C here..... So many things happened around me, my job, my family etc.  Anyway, now all has been settled & I'm on the move again.  I just realised that I'm so blessed.  I'm so happy.  One lesson 4 me, never to take things for granted & appreciate the people around me.  I'm so blessed.
  • Falling Sick

    Saturday, Aug 9, 2008 5:48PM / Members only

My immune system is weak now, am falling sick again.  It;s been a year since I went to see a dr.  I remember I consume 2 bottles of Ling Zhi last year in the month of August & ever since then, never really fall sick which requires me to get medication.  Now after boasting it for 1 year, am sick again.  Aiseh... now it's time for me to continue consuming the Ling Zhi again.

It started started yesterday evening with flu, I missed out watching the highlights of the Beijing Olympic opening ceremony.  I dozed off halfway when I see some of the teams marching into the stadium.  Well I manage to see my country, Malaysia in action.  I'm so impressed with the performance, so colourful, spectacular & neat.  It requires a lot of discipline to do that.  Congrats Beijng & China for the wonderful memory.

Going 2 see dr. later.  God Bless me!!!

  • George Carlin - Meaningful

    Saturday, Aug 9, 2008 5:31PM / Members only

I got this frm my friend & I find it very meaningful especially in the world we are living now, just like to share with all in AnD.  Read On..........

    GEORGE CARLIN

Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate.

    His message

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways
, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight,
    or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up
    and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart
and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace
will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and  cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

    AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

    ......   George Carlin

  • Farewell Dinner

    Tuesday, Jul 8, 2008 9:40PM / Members only

Monday night, went to Ying Ker Lou at The Curve for farewell dinner for my company pastry consultant, Chef Chern.  MY MD & GM also came.  Others include my Marketing Manager, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager,  & my 2 other colleagues.  This is my first time eating here.  Ying Ker Lou is specialising in Hakka cuisine.  We have fish, porks, chicken, vege, tofu cooked in Hakka style.  I would say the food there is quite nice & yummy.  Chef Chern last day is today & he has supported me a lot when I first joined this company.  I really appreciate his support & with his departure, I surely will miss him. He shares a lot of good tips with me on how to handle customers & also on product knowledge.  I found him a man with a lot of wisdom given his background. He started from rank & file & work himself up until what he is today.  A hardworking, passionate & determined person, I wish him all the best in his future undertaking.

Do you get to take part in the muffin mix tasting survey. I'm sometimes concerned about the ingredients in store-bought muffin mixes. Making them from scratch is exceedingly easy so I will stick to that.

Have a great weekend! I'm gonna eat a mung bean zong right now. ;D
