  • The beaches

    Wednesday, Oct 21, 2009 7:16AM / Members only

Oh....how i miss beaches.....sandy white beaches. It's been quite awhile since I went to any beaches. Yesterday I went to Port Dickson to visit my customers & as I drove along the coastal road I saw a long stretch of beaches.....So nice, suddenly I feel like going to beaches again... Good sunny weather & all the coconut trees. I need a holiday & it must be to beaches. Well now I need to travel to Seremban, PD & Melaka to service my customers - some changes in my portfolio which I think it's good coz now i can travel. Even though it's for business but at least I got to explore these places which I hardly will explore on my own. Thank you for the opportunity & I hope the sales will increase soon.

Now I need to plan for my beach holidays....
  • My first Famine 30 hours - 22 - 23 August 2009

    Sunday, Oct 18, 2009 10:15PM / Members only

This post is way too late, supposed to be up by August but been too busy & no mood to write about it till now…

    Date: 22 - 23 August 2009

    Time: 1200hrs onwards on 22 Aug 2009 until 1800hrs on 23 Aug 2009

Venue: Persatuan Ajaran Agama Chi Hui Tang & Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil

Event: Famine 30 hours Camp 2009

This is the 10th year World Vision organized the Famine 30 Hours camp in Malaysia & this is my first year participating in the Famine Camp. Probably because I always think of joining this camp, I finally get to know that Jessica is organizing one for her Vanness Wu Fan Club members this year. She invited me to participate in the camp even though I’m not a member of the Vanness Wu Fan Club. I asked another friend to join this camp together. She also has been thinking to join the camp for some time. Both of us registered & we raised funds for the partner organizations that World Vision worked together.

I drove to our camp centre after work on 22 August 2009. Though registration starts from 12p.m, I only manage to reached the centre about 2.45p.m but I start fasting from 12p.m onwards. Due to the wide outbreak of H1N1 virus, we take extra precaution to measure our body temperature & always use the antiseptic lotion to make sure that we are free from virus. We did clean-up the place so that we can sleep at night After the cleaning & washing, we proceed to have our games section – it’s called Slumstar. It reminded me of the movie Slumdog Millionaire. Well by playing this game, I understand how people struggle to make ends meet in their life. Not everyone is blessed with good health & body – this makes them difficult to make ends meet & there were unscrupulous people out there who bully this unfortunate group f people. It’s tough to produce those little stars with newspaper coz the material is very thin.
Our day & night is filled with activities so that our craving for food is diverted. At night we watched a movie called Blood Diamond. It was a movie where the Western people exploited the African people to get the diamonds there. I don’t really get the message of this movie & I don’t really like to watch this type of movie genre – not my cup of tea. By the time this movie ended, I have zzzzzz…..

The next morning, we woke up early, clean up the place & took a group photo together before we packed off to Stadium Bukit Jalil. The last 6 hours countdown was done in a big group with other DIY camps around Malaysia. The get-together of all the DIY camps amounted to almost 8000+ people all over Malaysia, some were from Klang, Ipoh, Penang, Johor, Pahang etc. It’s so heartwarming to see so many people from all over Malaysia gather for a good cause & of course some fun. We were being entertained by our local artistes such as Michael Wong, Daniel Lee, Francesca Peter, some others local singers. Of course the highlight is the Final Countdown with the special guests, A Mei all the way from Taiwan….She brings the house down. OMG….you should see the crowd dancing & the energy is so high that it doesn’t seem that we’re on fasting for 30 hours….

All in, it was a great weekend with all the great people who cares for other people & give all the time. I already thinking of next year Famine 30hrs if there’s 1.

  • T-Music Festival Concert

    Sunday, Sep 13, 2009 9:05PM / Members only

    Date: 12 September 2009

Time: 7p.m onwards until approximately 1.30a.m

    Venue: Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil

    Organiser: Galaxy Group

    Media partner: MY FM

Singers: From Hong Kong (Joey Yung, Soler, Justin, Kay Tse, Khalil Fong); from Taiwan (Lee Sheng Jie, David Tao, Power Station); from China (Liu Li Yang, Hoi Ming Wai); from Thailand (Chin, James); from Singapore (Chen Wei Lian) & last from Malaysia ( Manhand, Rickman, Rickman, Andrew Tan, Lin Jian Hui, Kay Kwok& Z-Chen)

Last nite went to watch this concert at Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil with my sis. It was a 5 hour music marathon featuring about 20 singers from HK, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Singapore & Malaysia. Missing out singers from Korea & Japan though. Concert started sharp at 7p.m but ended up only at 1.30a.m coz halfway through the main cable which supported all the electricity caught fire, i guess it's due to short-circuit. I can saw it clearly from where I seated however many people who are seating at the far right did not know what's happening. This happened during Chin's performance which is about halfway through the concert. First, there were a loud explosion, then the sound system off & the lights also off. Then we saw fire coming up at the left side of the stage just beside the tent set-up by Tiger( main sponsor). I don't know why, nobody panic & ran out of the stadium, we just remain seated at our seat even though i see the fire getting bigger. Thank God the organiser managed to put-off the fire on time before it spread further. We were in total darkness for about 30 minutes before they managed to change the cable & restore the power & electricity. Luckily this stadium is big enough, can't imagine if this happens in Stadium Putra, the fire will spread faster & I believe the circumstances will be even more damaging. Anyway, everything back in order & we continue to enjoy the music all nite long.

This concert is held in conjunction of Galaxy Group 15 years anniversary & this is the first time they brought in so many artistes to perform & for more than 5 hours long. Many of them are great live singers....but of all of them I personally love the vocals of POWER STATION - they have the best & greatest vocals range when they sang live. POWERFUL & i think they are the highlight of the concert coz they sang the most songs & they are being arranged to perform about 9 plus where everyone started to get excited. Good timing for them. It was my first time watching Justin, Kay Tse, Soler, Z-Chen, Manhand, Power Station, Liu Li Yang, Hoi Ming Wai, James, David Tao, ,Chen Wei Lian singing live on stage. It was a real value for $$$ coz i got to watch so many singers in a night. Besides POWER STATION, I also love Z-Chen, David Tao, Kay Tse, Manhand, Lee Sheng Jie & Soler performances. I think these few are the better ones. I missed out Joey Yung coz she's the last to perform & we have left after her 1st song but I admired her showmanship coz she waited until so late & people just started leaving when she came onstage. I think I've changed now, I enjoyed listening to the songs of each singers & this is not limited to a few only. I'm feeling their music in my body, my mind & my heart......

Thank you to Galaxy for organising this concert & selling the tickets at a very good price. I bought the cheapest ticket - only RM68 nett & i got to see 20 singers & most of them are big shots ( i mean popular & great singers)
  • Happy 090909.....

    Wednesday, Sep 9, 2009 10:37PM / Members only

Today is a beautiful day coz it's 090909.....nice numbers & easy to remember - in Chinese means longevity. Many couples especially Chinese choose to register today coz of the unique numbers even though in Lunar calendar it falls in the 7th month (also known as Hungry Ghost month). Usually Chinese don't held weddings or registration during the month. I've a friend who is registering today... CONGRATS KIAN & KAY NY.

I remember that i said i wanna get married on 090909 but it's not gonna happen...so waiting for 101010 (another beautiful date). Hopefully it'll happened. Ha ha ha! To everyone Happy 090909.....Not feeling well now...sneezing all the way arrrggghhhh....but still wanna to share the happiness with everyone out there.
  • MY FM 11th Anniversary Celebration - Genting Highlands

    Wednesday, Sep 2, 2009 9:36AM / Members only

    Date: 15 August 2009

Time: 2000hrs onwards until almost midnight

Venue: Arena of Stars Genting Highlands

Event: MY FM 11th Anniversary Party 2009

Who’s there? All MY FM DJs & their part time DJs together with some featured guests – Chin, Tank, Victor Wong, Nicholas Cheung, Hins Cheung, Kay, Suki, Guo Jing, Andrew Chan etc…..(Can’t remember all the names)

Otw up by myself - in the cable car

On Saturday, after work I make my journey up to the hill…. It’s been awhile since I went up the hill. This time I travel alone coz my sis have went up earlier in the morning to collect the free tickets. I took the cable car coz don’t feel like driving uphill with my 7-year old car. Oh yeah, my sis manage to get free tickets for this anniversary celebration & I just tag her along. Well it’s just an excuse to make a trip up the hill. I reached there about 4p.m. & meet up with my sis. My sis was there since morning to collect the tix so she spent her time in casino to kill time & managed to get her Genting card upgraded & got a free room but it cannot be redeemed on the same day. We went for dinner first & did some window shop before we proceed to Arena of Stars. Genting is still full of people despite the H1N1 virus spreading like nobody business. But I can see many people have been wearing face/surgical masks.

Victor Wong - All For Love Meet The Fans Session

We went in about 7.00p.m & the show started about 8.00p.m. This year the DJs transformed themselves into the character of Journey to the West (hope I am right) & they are looking for something which is lacking in humans nowadays. Of course with the storyline, the singers came out & sing but they blend it well. I think the highlight is when they finally found out what is lacking in human nowadays – CARE. We do not care much about other people & with this they shown us a clip of a visit to Taman Megah Handicapped Home. I am crying when I watch the clip, so touched & emotional. MY FM donated RM10K for the home & urged the rest of the audience to donate in cash or kinds to support them. I’ve went there before for my Community Service program when I joined a training back in year 2006 but haven’t been back about 2 years. I remember the first time I was there, there was an Indian girl who always want me to sing for her. When I was singing to her, I feel my tears almost burst out. By doing this simple little things like singing, I can make her so happy, I feel so touched. And I feel myself so lucky & blessed coz I was born normal & I have a caring family. The more charity or CS we do, the more blessed we feel. So we gotta do more, care for other people, the unfortunate ones, I believe our life will be more fulfilled.

The show ended with the duet of Hins Cheung & Nicholas Teoh of their own first single. It was almost 12.00a.m when the show ended & we couldn’t book a room earlier. All room fully booked. No cable car at this hour but I was damn too tired. Initially thought of spending the entire night at casino, karaoke & movie just to kill time……but my sis said looked so tired so we try our luck to get a cab back. Coincidentally there was an airport taxi just drop-off his passengers so we asked how much the charges to get back to PJ. The driver at first wanted to charged more than RM100 but we asked to reduce to RM80. And voila, we can go back to our home sweet home. The charge is reasonable coz it’s way past midnite already.

    Another day gone!!!
