Finally started really reading "Walden." According to Thoreau's "Economy," changing clothes should more reasonably happen at important junctures in life; similarly to molting, or leaving a chrysalis.

I saw this episode Wendy. I didn`t understand one thing....he said something about `when they go back there and tell them what it really is like in other countries....` Who would EVER have the balls to go back after leaving? They`ll hang `em. That book must be a good read and Mike Kim is brave....very brave. If that dictator bastard ever dies (I`m thinking he`s immortal...) will we ever be able to repair relations with that country?

what a coincidence. i haven't had a chance to see the "daily show" clip, but last night i saw a documentary on PBS's program, "Wide Angle", about N. Korean defectors. It's an amazing film and will be available on the website in a day or two. it's definitely worth checking out.

Wendy has a BA in English Literature from Cornell University and an MFA in Filmmaking from New York University. Her thesis film, Moon Lady, won Best Narrative Short at the San Diego Asian Film Festival 2008, and the Lillian Onque Award at the Gate City Women's Film Festival 2009, and was also an Official Selection of Slamdance 2009. She worked as a feature programmer for Slamdance 2010, and is currently redrafting two feature film scripts.
