  What: Celebrate International ‘ Go Skateboarding’ Day with Vans and jump on our bus for the day to hit up all of our favorite skateboarding spots in HK !

• 2009 BMX & Inline Contest

  This coming Sunday, 31st May 09 there will be a BMX Freestyle & Inline skate contest at the Lai Chi Kok (Mei Foo Skatepark).  Details from x-fed.com (in chinese)

  Organizer: The Hong Kong Federation of Extreme Sports
  Co-Organizers: DJ BMX workshop & O22y Skate Shop
  Supported & Sanctioned by: The Asian Extreme Sport Federation (AXF) & The International BMX Freestyle Federation (IBMXFF)

  Date: 31 May 2009
  Time: 14:00 - 18:00
  Location: Lai Chi Kok Park Skateboard Arena.

  There will be Junior & Open divisions for BMX Freestyle, Open division for Inline.
  There will also be an Open contest for KENDAMA!

• Stefan Janoski signature shoe - NOT available in Hong Kong?

  Probably one of  the most anticipated skate shoe releases for NikeSB (if not THE most anticipated skate shoe release for NikeSB),  I finally spotted the Stefan Janoski Nike SB Signature model in the wild yesterday, a local skater had it & I learned he ordered it via web / mail order.

  

  I did some checking to see when I could get a couple pairs myself;  To my HORROR, I learned that HONG KONG is NOT GETTING this shoe model, not in any of the Skate shops nor shoe retail stores that carry Nike SB.

  I got different versions of the reasons why HONG KONG ain’t getting this shoe, but generally the reason I heard is because NIKE HONG KONG did not order this shoe because they wanna focus on the “DUNK”.

  What?!  Are you fucking serious?
  

  I would get this shoe in ALL the colorways, at least 2 pairs each, one to skate, one to chill.  Almost EVERY Skateboarder I know wants this shoe.  Whoever is in charge here  in Hong Kong should get their head out of their ass & start looking & listening WHATS UP.  This is probably the sickest skate shoe release for NikeSB, ever!

  This is VERY disappointing, who ever is in charge here should do some research to learn that this shoe is doing really well around the world.   Stefan’s shoe release was one of the HOTTEST topics on TWITTER & Still is.

  While doing this research, learn why & how Stefan got this shoe made in the first place.  Props to Stefan for doing his thing & getting his shoe done!

  
  You know what’s most disappointing is that Stefan & the NikeSB team came to HK & China to shoot videos & ads & made such a good impression on HK / China skaters.

  Almost every skater I know had super high hopes for this shoe release.   Its sad to see  there are tons of pictures of him & the team here in Hong Kong & China on Nikeskateboarding.com; but his shoe ain’t available here.

  

  I do hope the news I heard ain’t true, & this dope skate shoe will be available in Hong Kong soon!
