DC Shoes - Smith 2.0

Its always good to receive a package; especially from DC!
Just in time for my skate session on Saturday afternoon, perfect to ‘test drive’ these Ryan Smith 2.0’s which I have been eager to try out for a while! The grey and red colorway look sick, & I was psyched to get these Grey ones.
The Smith 2.0’s look remarkably like Vans Half Cabs* ( *my all time favorite skate shoe) & they have clean lines & looks. At first I thought they seemed a bit wider than the Vans Half Cab, ( Vans Syndicate Half Cabs are sexy slim! ) but there is a difference with this shoe, you’ll notice it once you put them on. You can feel the added support & protection where its needed.
After an afternoon’s session using these, I was impressed. The vulcanized sole has the same grippy hold that skaters crave today, & DC’s super suede held up well; they last 50% longer than regular suede & are exclusive to DC Shoes. Will see how they hold up in the coming weeks.
These are my skate shoes of choice for now!!

Pusan!

Okay! I’ve arrived here in Pusan, Korea. Not even 12 hours back home & I had to rush back to the airport to catch the flight; it was a mad rush to check in & get coffee, so I could not update much - I’m still going through all the pics I took in Singapore 2 nights ago; I promise I’ll post them real soon………….
Anyway, a bit of a surprise today at Hong Kong Airport, we bumped into our friend Danny, a.k.a. “Siu Lung”
If you’ve watched “Shaolin Soccer” before he’s the dude that played the goalie; he recently did a 40 part TV series of Bruce Lee’s life, you HAVE to check that out! RTPK!!!
Anyway, he was on his way to Shanghai to go to the Subcrew store Unity’s opening & also to party with Sam Lee, coz its his Birthday today! (for those of you on AnD, drop by Sam “Becareful” Lee’s page & show him some love!)
Yeahhh Maaang! Danny was a little skater kid back in the day, no one knew back then that he would turn out to be a kick ass badd ass! Mad love & props!
Okay, so we checked in, & we bumped into the whole damn Subcrew…. Sam, Frankie, Wai, KS-1, & other OG heads; they were all heading out to Shanghai to party; Hong Kong is so small that you bump into many of your friends even at the airport.
Interesting our flight was at gate “24″
Used the time to catch up on some needed sleep…….
Watched some skate videos……….
& before we knew it, we were in Busan….
Ciggyyyyyyy time !

Korean mobile phones are DOPE… I posted about this before, but this time, I actually got to watch a bit of Korean Mobile TV; coz our super nice guide, Hye Kyung had one & I was lucky enough to sit with her for the hour long bus ride; definitely made the time pass real quick!
