You got that right, I am going to serve my new found religion as a buddist monk in hang zhou 'ling yin si' (famous monestary 杭州靈隱寺) tomorrow! Those who have been following my blog should notice i had my ear mould done a little while ago. This latest role i m taking part in, is in fact, the monk 'san zang' in the legendary ancient chinese fiction- Journey to the West(xi you ji). So those of you living around the province, dont hesitate to come make fun of my new hair style (female strictly forbidden :P those monks are so disciplined arent they).
Before i go, i must thank you ALL for commenting on my previous blog, for congratulating my sister's wedding etc, we really appreciate it. Anyways, i must go back to pack my bags now, its not easy being a monk over night you know?

'Stop buffing yourself up, easy on the shoulders,' says my trainer
along the picket fence
lesson 1- take it easy, lesson 2- take it easy!
It has been a while since i rode on a horse, may be three, four years ago. I must confess i never had proper training, and the fact that my experience with so called 'tamed' horse in china aint exactly 'up to expectation' (ie they bite! no kidding), i sort of developed some degree of fear when it comes to trotting(ouch my crotch), let alone galloping and so on. But then again, i guess i m not just doing this for the role, its also for the challenge, to conquer the 'fear factor'. So here i am, all signed up for a series of training, and thanks to my trainer 'ah fai', after two sessions of practicing (half an hour each), i m already thirsting for speed. Besides its a lot of fun, u should try it some day too.
This is the first time i post a link based on a PC game. After an hour of experiencing the first person shooting game Bioshock, i feel obliged to share the clip to you all. Universal studio has decided to make a movie out of the game, which is absolutely mind blowing; for merely five minutes of gaming was enough for me to yearn for a sliver screen version.
The plot and setting are both solid and compelling, adding up to the audio and ambience, the thriller action experience is almost unstoppable (if i didnt snap out of it for the blog). This game, without doubt, is destined to be the next multi-million cgi movie/series. In fact, this brings out the point i m trying to make, is that the booming revolution of video game based cgi movies, when the ratio leaps from 5:5 right on to 8:2. This is inevitable, video game based movies is the future, for it is so dominant in modern man's life, its like part of a life style. Either u like it or not, cgi anime movies just sell, period. Especially when the big names are slowly fading away, and charismatic new comers wither away a lot quicker than it used to. In a few years' time, cgi characters(or voice overs) will be catagorised for the movie awards, i bet on it to happen. Isnt there already a movie made on this, a few years back, the one with al pacino in it? S1m0ne, thats right, back in 2002.
Wont be surprised if artists, or ppl generally in the future, have their names styled this way- my name will then be... v1ctor ch@... nah, dont work on me :P

Recently, i got a role from this drama series that requires me to fix an ear mould. It is the first time i have a mould fixed, so i was rather looking forward to it. They sent me to the beijing movies production station where theres a department specialised in face moulds. Once inside the room, at first i was a little taken aback by its small scale and primitive setting, its just a small room with three graduate students, apparently a couple of them are still learning, and the crafts were kinda mediocre. Nevertheless, they still managed to carry out the task with ease, the mould was set and removed from my ears in no more than hafl hour, given that the production company already ordered the plaster prior to my visit. All in all, i consider the chilling experience of plaster mix stuffed in my ears to be quite fun, however, i have no idea what it will be like having those moulds fixed on my ears every day for the next four months. May be we need spares?
'moulding room' (make up storage??)
voila... setting almost like an art school
thriller mask on the side
shrek's ear wax
30 minutes of tickling chills
the product, notice a cotton bud was inserted in the ear to prevent plaster from filling in
