Anybody in HK participate in this...?!?!

Well, I've uploaded my photos of my experience, and it was actually quite fun. xD Look in the album titled {{March 09 and Earth Hour}} which is the same album as the old march 09 one, only with more photos and an accident.

Well, Earth Hour was going to be a whole new separate album, but because of a simple mistake that I did, it isn't..so I gave up and just changed the title. I would explain to you what the mistake was...but it would take a while and I'm kinda sleepy now. I could tell you if you really wanted to know! LOL.

I watched Five news, or something like that, and they were talking about people in China selling and eating Cat meat, and how it is wrong of them to eat cat. Now I've been doing a bit of wondering...

Why is eating cat meat wrong to the same person/people who think eating other animals is alright. It's as if they're saying that cats are superior to the other animals that are always being eaten. It's unfair.

Some people say it's because cats are pets and you really can't bear to eat them. I say that they are being really silly. Aren't cows pets to the farmers - I know, I know, they don't cuddle up to you when you go near them, etc, etc. But they are still pets in a different way - I reckon.

Today I was so tired when I woke up that I wanted to fall straight back into my lovely soft bed again. Well, there was something distracting me, so I couldn't get to sleep anyway - I needed the loo, quite desperately in fact.

So I got up, and walked to the toilet which is basically opposite my bedroom and just a few steps away after I got out of my room. I was in a thin nightdress (don't as why) so obviously it was freezing, and so I was sitting on the toilet seat feeling extremely cold. Maybe it was also because the window in the toilet was open as well. Brrrrrr.

After that, I tried to go back to sleep, but I was too cold, and went and sat on a chair in my parents room hairdrying my frozen feet. Felt warmer at last, walked back to my bedroom from there (which is further) and felt cold again. So I decided I needed to get changed extra quick to warm up in warmer clothes, and also go downstairs to the warmer part of the house!

I chose my clothes quickly and got changed slowly. I really didn't want to get up this early, it was like going to school again - which I was - my dad was rushing me to get changed quicker to eat breakfast (or not) because we had to go to our grandparents house on the way to Haringey - Just so my brother and I would get our money award for something we did.

Turns out we got to Haringey early, so we had time to sit in the car - only 5 minutes - and wait until most people had arrived. Lauren was already there, sitting in the car next to us as always (except when the headteacher or some other parent steals our place).

Then we went in the assembly hall. Well not yet. First I went in the school, after JiaWen and Lauren went in after Ga Yen. I saw them in a corner in the cantonese side of the hallway, so I went up to them. Jiawen immediately came up to me with a big hug, and then she hugged Ga Yen as well. Then we started talking about the extremely difficult translation worksheet we had to do.

Finally we went downstairs preparing ourselves for the assembly to find the door still locked, so we had to wait another 5 minutes for the caretaker to open the door for us to get outside, and then we piled into the assmebly hall. We had to move the chairs so that they were in rows. Turned out we didn't need as many chairs as we put out, the boys in our class were sitting in our classroom upstairs refusing to come down to watch the awards ceremony that was taking place.

It was my brothers turn and he came second. I went to the central column to take some photos of him and his classmates. My friends and I noticed that there were only 5 at the maximum who went up to collect awards in the cantonese classes, but in the mandarin ones, there were over 10 in most of the classes that went up. I was waiting to see if Si Xing would get an award, but I missed it because there were so many people going up at that time I got so mixed up! Saw Henry though.

Then my dad told me to go up to the centre again to take a picture of these people in his old class, the adult mandarin class. I was wondering why.

Then it was my turn, and nobody took pictures of me except my dad (I was wondering why my dad told me to take pictures of other people, but not ask them to take pictures of me?!?!) I'm quite upset, but I'm not too sad. At least my friends were there supporting me and taking pictures of the rest of the class who went up. It was JiaWen in first place, I got an award for good conduct, and I also came 5th :D Lauren and Ga Yen were the good friends that were taking pictures of us, and peeping through the gap to take the pictures.

Then we had to go back to our classrooms since we were the last class to get the awards, and parents evening began. There were only 4 parents but I really can't be bothered to mention who they are. The teacher set us the work beforehand, and when she was doing so, the headteacher walked in telling us that break was cancelled. That is quite unfair as it wasn't even our fault that parents evening went into break as well.

Me and Lauren didn't do much work, we did the least work out of all the girls I think. We were kind-of busy talking and discussing birthdays with JiaWen. We also looked at one of the pictures that Lauren took at the awards ceremony, she zoomed up to Yip Yun Lung and Jia Wen and cropped the photo so it was only them two in it. Then she tried to find a border with hearts, but she didn't have one, so she added clip art instead - that was hearts. HeHeHe. Then she showed JiaWen, and we burst out in laughter when we saw her face, and Ga Yen saw as well, then we had another laughing fit. This was at the same time as Ga yen's mum came to parents evening. LOL. I saw them turn around to look at what we were doing!!

So Lauren deleted the picture after several complaints from JiaWen. It was funny enough to last a while though so it didn't matter.

End of lesson, Went to mandarin class.

Nothing really important to say about it. Went walkies with Jasmin and we walked at least 3 times around the Southgate school! We talked about Latymer and stuff, and nothing much. We got to a corridoor that was all dark and had an idea of walking through it, since neither of us had explored it before, saw a balcony on our way with pretty flowers, saw a bit where we thought was a dead end, but wasn't and carried on walking. On that new corridoor, we heard a weird metal rattling noise, so we turned around and left through another corridoor, to get back to somewhere we recognised - it was the other side of the balcony and we could see the side that we were at before.

Class wasn't bad. Got a new book of stories, wish they gave us something like this that was cantonese...nevermind. It's good that it is stories and now I can read like I do in Haringey in Southgate (because southgate books are mostly dialogues for english people and it's less for people who already know chinese as a 1st/2nd language/mother tongue.

The book is slightly hard to read...but I'm trying. It's not too bad. Just can't read about 3 words out of 10 in the first sentence. LOL. I'd probably do better if it was the same thing but in traditional (cantonese).

I'm leaving right now to play MahJeuk (I think it's actually called Mah Jong)...Or maybe not?!?!

My experiment so far has only lasted under 48 hours (I'm thinking...) so it's not very accurate. However, I have been frantically trying to test out which of the sites are the best out of LJ, WP and B. My conclusion so far is Blogger - Reasons below.

1. I'm quite used to it - had an old blog there that I deleted, it was over a year ago though.

2. The features for pictures are SO much better the wordpress (which I can't even get to put a picture on that actually comes out right. And it's wonderfully better than LJ as LJ only allows a certain amount of pictures...=/

3. I can add the Tag Board/Chat Box up onto the front page, rather than having to have a link like all the other sites.

4. I can manage my own layouts. Like Properly. . . Good. Good.

5. It is less cluttered compared to LJ. Not compared to WP though.

Reasons why WordPress is better.

1. The posts are more catagorised and easier to find. My webpage is very much less cluttered, and it is wonderfull bright and simple looking.

2. It is very easy to make a post.

3. I can see my blog stats to know how popular my blog is, and when.

4. It has a few features that are the same as LJ, but WP makes them more organised.

Reasons why LJ is better.

1. It has real nice layouts.

Reasons why AliveNotDead is the best! xD

1. I'm SOSOSOSOS used to it.

2. It's simple yet good and fits to my needs perfectly (except some stuff)

The reasons why I'm moving.

1. Alivenotdead is not really a blogging site - well not a proper site - it's more of a fan site.

2. Private posts. One thing that blogger doesn't have either. =[

3. A banner. I've always wanted one...=/

4. I've wanted to have a chatbox/tagboard on my site frontpage.

5. I wanted to go out into the big wide blogging world...for more experience in other sites I guess.

Downfalls about blogger.

1. No private posts.

2. It's got the stuff that I've wanted that AND can't provide me with. Except for the private posts...=/
