  • Photography: Camera Whoring

    Tuesday, Jun 17, 2008 11:12PM / Standard Entry

Well, I am kinda stressed about my Nutrition exam on Thursday morning, because I have barely studied for it, and even if I did a week ago, I have completely forgotten everything. I am so stressed that I can't even sleep now, hence I am still awake at 1am in the morning, though I should be asleep and waking up 7am to cram 12 weeks of work in one day and one night for my exam on Thursday ( is now tomorrow).

Well, while studying today, I got bored and I'll have little breaks. I tried to completely avoid going on here (which I have made a habit during my exams last year about this time, which I couldn't stop coming on cos I was literally glued to this place) and as well as facebook now ... I'm telling you its the worse feeling, before exam, but I still doing anyways yaa...

Anyways, back to photography. During my break from studying tonight, I was extremely bored and what us asians like to do is camera whoring. For those who wonder what camera whoring is, it is taking photos or self portraits of yourself with your camera. Well, I used the camera on my LG Viewty phone (which is not that great) because I seriously wasn't bothered to get the charger for my Sony cybershot camera just to take photos of myself.

What I realized the angle and the amount of light that reaches the lens affects the quality and outcome of a picture. From the picture above the first 3 pictures from above plus the two pictures below on the left, were taken on the same day (today) besides the one at the bottom, first on the right is my current display picture, taken back in April. I realised that I look different in each photo, does any one agree with that? or could you tell that there all me?

I totally love cam whoring, its one of those random things I do when I get bored from studying or doing assignment. I like looking back at these pics, cos it shows how you've changed over time. I delete most of them, but the ones I like I keep and see how I have changed over time. I know you may all think I'm luvo as such, but I think we all do it. I blame it on the fact that I'm a saggie I have obviously gained abit of winter weight comparing the the pics thats in my display pic and the one above it .. haha going to have to work on the weight after exams

  • Why do I always get the creeps?

    Tuesday, Jun 17, 2008 9:00AM / Standard Entry

I just realised, I always get the creeps running after me. For once, can't it be at least someone I will like.

Firstly, it happend on the Taiwan Tour, with the people I ate with on the Vegetarian table. I can't be bothered to tell the story, talking about it give me shivers down my spine. Now, i have this ex-colleague, that keeps harrasing me to meet up with him. I never liked him even as a colleague. He's pig headed, ugly inside-out and thinks he's all that. Besides, he's like probably ten years older then me, at my age i'd probably wanna be with some closer to my age. Spontaneoulsy, out of no where. He asked me, when I was going to meet up with him for lunch? and I responded 'did you mean with the rest of our  KK krew'? and he was like 'No, just you' and I was like... I derno, I think he got the drift I was clearly not interested, knowing how he is.

Talking about guys,I need to let it out. I'm drawn to this family friend of mine, I don't know why I am so drawn to him because he ain't that great. It's gotta be the charisma  I guess... He isn't the most good looking person, he is smart though  (If that counts for anything). I could talk to him at the same intellectual level I guess ... I added him recently on facebook, so I could kinda be intouch with him, in a indirect way. My friend thinks its silly of me to be so drawn to him, considering the chances of being with him his nil to a million which means zilch chances.

Being a saggitarius, I know what I want and i know what I like in a guy, and I'm not afraid to be upfront about it. If I really don't like a guy, I'll be pretty blunt about it.I just wish creeps would leave me alone!!! Do I get creeps because I am a creep myself? Is it just me that I am being harsh or mean? or has any other girls out there experienced it as well?

    Does anyone love scrabble?

I use to lurve play scrabble when I was a kid and still do now, especially on rainy days =)

I love playing scramble, world twist and word challenge on facebook, its probably the closest thing to scrabble.

Other Past times, include eating, sleeping, and watching TV. Of course socialising out in the hood.

    Sunday, Jun 15, 2008 11:04AM / Standard Entry

Haven't been up to much lately.

Supposed to be studying, but been lazy sleeping in till 2pm in the afternoon.

Been facebooking, procrastinating- anything to stay away from studying.

Funny enough, I know that my brain cells are working because I can think of one of those 'out of reach' words while playing scrabble.

If you have any tips for achieving better study ethics, please let me know.

  • nutrtion & male species

    Friday, May 30, 2008 10:51PM / Standard Entry

Theres a few things I have noticed and learnt :

After doing nutrition this semester, I have learnt so much diets and health in general. We should not restrain ourself from eating the 'bad stuff' but have it in moderation and we need a balance in our diet. E.g. like excessive consumption of tannin (in tea + coffee) can have an effect on protein metabolism, but tannin itself is a source of anti-oxidant. So people, don't over do it with the tea and coffee, keep it in moderation =) it's super potent stuff!

This is my interpretation of the Correlation with males and the opposite sex. Guys have to be 'interested' you to be 'friends' with you. If they don't like you or you don't turn out the way, they thought you were, they'd ditch/avoid/  right there , with no reason. Girls are seen as object of studies that are subjected to trial and error in an experiment. I have concluded, theres no 'gentlemen' in this society or world. I can't believe that the male population in this world is so shallow.

PS: Taiwanese cake and green tea make an awesome duo.
