• Clive Owen Speaking About Shanghai International Film Festival - CCTV 9 Rediscovering China

  While it wasn't exactly well prepared in this imprompto interview with Clive Owen, in which i had to navigate around the burly security guard, Clive mentioned he was having a great time in Shanghai during the film festival and also that he was a big fan of chinese films..

  
  
  Clive Owen was there to promote his latest film "Duplicity"  and later that night at the LAN club after party i had another chance to chat with him off camera about his previous feature film "The International" when i made the mistake of stating to him that that i thought this was his most recent film. He wasn't too impressed but lucky for me I had just watched the movie so i recovered from this mistake by describing my favorite scene which coincidently just happened to also be his.

  Yu nan was one of the judges for this years jury panel at the 2009 Shanghai International Film Festival and she was kind enough to catch up with we and talk about her Golden Bear winning Chinese film "Tuya's Marriage" which is one of very few movies approved by the government to win an award outside of China. 
  
  
  She speaks fantastic english and spent time abroad in France shooting a movie so its possible we can expect her to start making a break into mainstream western movies anytime soon as more and more western film producers are placing well known chinese actors and actresses in their movies in the hope this will make their movie popular in China so they can cash in on China's booming box office sales..
