I have been living in Shanghai for almost 4 years now. I based here as I felt like Shanghai is one of the most dynamic and energized centers in the world at this time. Quite a bit has actually changed in 4 years both in the fashion industry and the city itself.
I live near to my studio in the Zhongshan Park area. I love the studio space, nice high ceilings and a great curved wall. Most of my lighting equipment is Elinchrom, even though I like to shoot with ambient light as much as possible.My camera of choice at the moment is the Canon Mark III 1Ds. Before my digital days I liked to shoot with the Contax G2 and Mamiya 645 AFD. I still have those cameras, but unfortunately in a box.
Some of my more noted clients are Ports for fashion and McDonald,s , Adidas, and Puma for advertisement. Ports has been an excellent brand to work with and shoot for. They really give me the freedom to work at my best. Mcdonald's shoots were interesting, the first one being about the 5 senses and the second shooting Asian super star Lee-Hom. For anyone who wonders, he really is a nice guy. Adidas had us up in Beijing shooting the Chinese woman's olympic volleyball team - the first time I felt kind of short ha ha. Puma was just recently shot in Singapore on the Puma sailboat that is currently in the Volvo race around the world.
From this you can see that I not only shoot in China but internationally. Right now you can see some my work for Ports in their Spring Summer 09 campaign that has just come out. Also currently one of my favorite shoots - the ;auch campaign for MoodyDog - can be seen in their shops China wide. If you happen to be in Philippines you can also find my work in March issue of Mega, Lifestyle Asia and LOOK. In Singapore, soon there will be the launch of VIP magazine and one editorial that I shot which I am very happy with. Outside of those publications, you can also find my work on the cover of Destinasian magazine.
