• 圣火来了 ~ the torch passed through canberra today...

  read about it on the news. got asked to go along to protect the flame but unfortunately i work so couldn't go.

  i'm glad everything went safely (only 7 arrests! =P)

  i feel really mixed up about this issue. on one hand i support free speech and people's right to protest, but of course i understand it from the student's view and their love for China and the wish to protect the flame on its way to Beijing (which is by the way the city I was born!)

  i especially understand the sentiment that many people who protest dont really understand the issues and are just doing what is PC which in australia unfortunately at the moment is not so pro-China.

  the issues are probably way to complex for many of us to fully comprehend.

  just glad nobody was badly hurt :)

  今天圣火来到了堪培拉。

  我对这些事蛮复杂的感觉... 不过当然希望圣火可以安全到达北京(我的出生之地！)。

  最重要的是没有人受伤 :)
