  And for the Wizard of Oz fans, here's one to catch this summer (in Hong Kong).

  It's again been a long while since I updated my AnD site. Sorry about that. Was just too busy juggling my time between opening my Hoshizora Japanese Cake Shop (yes, it's open now!!) in Macau, travelling to Hong Kong for rehearsals for the Wizard of Oz musical, and preparing for the feature film that I'll be directing in September called 'Roulette City'. I'll sign off here with some information for the movie from the Island Man Pictures website www.islandmanpictures.com.

  Island Man Pictures will be producing its first feature film called 'Roulette City' (formerly known as 'The Landlord') this summer. The film will be filmed entirely in Macau (South China) and shooting will commence on 20 Sept 2008.

  錢對阿德來說就是萬能，他決定到澳門去實現他的夢想。他在賭場逢賭必輸，就在他的夢想將要破滅的時侯，阿曼達的出現，帶給了他新的轉機。阿德在賭桌上開始轉運，從此以後，他們就成為了一對。同時，阿德也跟莉莉搭上了，開始了一段性伴侶關系。莉莉威脅阿德進行調查阿金的背景，阿金原是一位憨厚的農民，但自從來到澳門後，因賭成為了一名眾所周知的賭王。阿德為了完成此任務因而忽略了與阿曼達的感情。一天，因為一個冰箱的故障把他們倆之間的矛盾激發了，同時也引發了他們與房東的一次激烈的爭論， 而這房東正是阿金，因為這件事阿曼達和阿德分手了。此事跟著發生了一連串事件，讓阿德發覺出阿金不為人知的秘密。得知阿德的跟蹤，阿金開始消滅那些阻礙他帶著財富移民出亞洲計劃的人。阿德與阿金之間的糾纏最終讓阿德感悟到一些他永遠不能在賭場裡找到的生活的意義。

  In the casino capital of the world, every move is a deadly gamble.
  
  SYNOPSIS
  
  TAK believes that money is the key to happiness and arrives in Macau in the hope of finding a better life through winning at the casinos. He loses almost all his money before getting acquainted with ARMANDA, who guides him to several wins at the gambling tables and eventually becomes his girlfriend. At the same time, Tak gets involved in a sexual relationship with the attractive WYNNIE. Promising Tak a huge amount of money, Wynnie manages to trick him into committing to investigating a China villager turned successful Macau gambler JIN. Tak becomes completely focused on finding out the history of Jin and his mysterious prisoner WAI and begins to neglect Armanda and the apartment they live in. A broken fridge magnifies the problems between Tak and Armanda, and triggers a major confrontation with their landlord, who turns out to be Jin. This incident causes Armanda to leave Tak and explodes into series of events uncovering Jin's mysterious and complicated past. In his struggle to shake off Tak, Jin turns deadly. He starts to eliminate everyone who stands between him and a better life as he tries to leave Asia with the millions he has won from the casinos. These events lead Tak and Jin to make a final bet, after which, causing Tak to discover the true meaning of his own life that could never be found in any casino chip.

• Where did the torch go??!!

  This says something about Macau.

  The torch routes were printed on leaflets and given out at the tourist information centre (and elsewhere too I'm sure). Samsung, Giordano etc all had banners waving, the police were in, as were some Olympic organization and most of all, millions of patriotic onlookers, many with China flags painted on their faces, waving flags of all sizes and other little Olympic signs, waiting for hours except... the torch never came!!!

  It's hilarious! Everyone thought the Olympic torch was coming this way (past the busy street below my balcony) and so many people were on hand to witness it and all of a sudden, the crowds just started to go away as they began to realise the torch was not coming this way after all! Crazy! 

  This is probably where Macau is most similar to mainland China - the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and is not interested to ask.
