Not so long ago I got called for a contract, we sent emails back and forth for a while then nothing for a couple of weeks. So I thought they got someone else to do it and so made other plans. A trip. Short one, but most likely would extend it while I'm there.
But obviously, since this is me we're talking about, I got called again by the same people. Hardly more than 24 hours after my bookings. Oops. Well, there's still a way to make it all work.
So now on one side of the living room is a backpack for the Sabah trip I'm off to this afternoon. With hopefully the right amount of beach and hiking and diving, although the weather report seems to think otherwise.
And on the other side is a suitcase with more 'urban living outfits'. Ok, it's just tshirts and jeans. And maybe a couple of shirts that I might not wear but keep in my suitcase all the time.
The thing is not yet confirmed but when it is, what will most likely happen is a 24 hours gap between both flights. Hopefully not less. And hopefully sunshine in HK so I get to wash and dry those clothes too. And maybe enough time to see that Robert Lepage play.
I also got the official air dates from our old Tokyo documentary that I mentioned before.
So those in Canada with the French news channel RDI can watch it on June 19 at 8pm. And later at 2am it's showing again. It's part of the Grands Reportages show, and has been renamed by the station as Tokyo à l'étroit.
