    Man it's been a while!

Last time, surprisingly enough, I got dropped right next to a friend-coworker of mine after a while out of a crowd of 25,000 or something.

'Aren't you a little old for that?' she asked.

    'Never!' I replied.

Although I might be a little too heavy compared to my old days. Speaking of which, I was trying to find some nice footage online from Lollapalooza 1994 to add on this entry but couldn't find any. Oh right, back in those days people going to a concert were actually PART OF IT, instead of standing with their mobile phone up in the air. The fact that there was no camera in mobiles at the time sort of helped too, I guess.

So, since I couldn't find what I was looking for, here's a couple of clips I found inspiring enough...

Now this one has an interesting twist, I'd really like to try some day:

And for those of you with not enough brains, I'm doing you a favor here - THIS is what crowd surfing definitely NOT about:

Yeah, it's weird. Kids these days. I got insulted and threatened at Radiohead concerts. Twice! Different concerts! It's all open air and standing, the act freakin' rocks, I just clap my hands over my head and let out a few woohoo's and I get all those people around calling me a jerk and ordering me to put my hands down 'coz I didn't pay to see your hands'. Then I spot a friend two meters away, try to get over there (not even towards the stage) and I get a couple of guys pushing me back not letting me through. Now I'd like to know why all the years before that, same situation would have involved heavily tatooed and pierced dreadlocked people who would have given me the evil eye for half a second then let me through with a smile.

People don't go to concerts to enjoy themselves anymore. It's a shame. Can't remember what Big Day Out it was in Australia, but anyway, Prodigy came and it was awesome. Everyone was dancing, crowd surfing, moshing. It was what a concert should be like.
