• The 1st Day of Shooting . . . | 拍攝第一天…

  After a few days of scrīpt reading and training with the stunt team, we started shooting yesterday.  I had a relatively easy day.  1 scene, to get my feet wet.  Very often it takes a few shooting days for me to figure out what the director wants and to confirm details as to how I portray my character.  Now I have a couple days off where I will put more work into the scrīpt so that when things starts getting really busy, I will be ready. 
  
  The series I am working on is “陳真, (Chen Zhen).” Chen Zhen is a famous martial artist who is a student of "霍元甲“ (Huo Yuan Jia) who fights against the Japanese during the occupation before WWII.  I play a Japanese samurai who comes to China because of a Chinese woman he met and was involved with in Japan.  He is not political, but because of his skills in the martial arts, he eventually gets manipulated by his Japanese comrades in their fight against the Chinese. 
  
  I really like this character because he really is a good person in the end.  It is a nice departure from the "bad guy" roles I normally play.

  用了幾天時間讀劇本，跟特技組一起訓練，昨天終於開始拍攝了。我還蠻輕松的，有一幕是弄濕我的腳。通常都要花好幾天時間才能了解導演要的是什麽，以及如何演繹好我的角色。現在有兩天時間空閑，我會仔細研讀劇本。這樣當他們要拍我的部分時，我早已準備好了。

  我拍攝的連續劇叫《精武陳真》。陳真是一代武術宗師霍元甲的徒弟，二戰前霍元甲用自己的功夫和日本人對抗。我扮演一個日本武士，他在日本遇到並愛上了一個中國女人，所以來到中國。他不是政治家，因為功夫好，被日本朋友利用跟中國人對打。

  我喜歡這個角色，因為最後證明他是個好人。很高興我終於擺脫了”壞人”行列。

  用了几天时间读剧本，跟特技组一起训练，昨天终于开始拍摄了。我还蛮轻松的，有一幕是弄湿我的脚。通常都要花好几天时间才能了解导演要的是什么，以及如何演绎好我的角色。现在有两天时间空闲，我会仔细研读剧本。这样当他们要拍我的部分时，我早已准备好了。

• In Hendian, Getting Ready For The Shoot | 在橫店，做好拍攝準備

  I have been in Hendian for 5 days now.  Though I start shooting tomorrow, I have been very busy getting ready for the shoot.  I was training with the stunt crew for a few days to get a feel of what type of fighting I would be doing for this T.V series.  When I am not training, there are fittings, and I have been spending lots of time with the scrīpt.  Got to do your homework first before you can go out and play on the set! 
  
  Things have been very hectic in H.K both with work and for me personally.  Part of me is really enjoying this trip because I am in a small town with no distractions and just one job to do.  I am sure once I get into the groove and the pressure is off a bit, I will miss the fast times in H.K.  But for now a bit of quiet and a simple focus is a welcome change. 
  
  It's been a long time since I have done any film work as an actor.  I have been working on alivenotdead, producing short films and MV's and the like, but it's good to be back doing the job that is my career.  I am really looking forward to this shoot and am feeling more positive every day. 
  
  The alivenotdead boys are going to be really busy working on the site and adding some very cool features and artists in the next couple months.  Don't work too hard boys!  Will be back in the saddle with you all soon. 
  
  I am also really looking forward to sharing some photos with you all!  I bought a camera before this shoot and will be playing with it, taking photos while I am here.

  | 我已經在橫店呆5天了。明天才開始拍攝，但我做準備工作就已經很忙了。和特技組一起花了幾天時間訓練，感覺了一下將在這部電視劇裏進行的打鬥。沒有訓練時，我要試服裝，還用了很多時間看劇本。表演之前必須先做好自己的功課!

  在香港，我的工作和生活都非常忙。有些享受這趟旅行，因為這是一個小鎮，沒有其他事情的幹擾，只需要做一項工作。能肯定的是，一旦開始工作，壓力稍微減輕，我就會想念在香港的快節奏生活。但現在的寧靜和簡單專註，感覺還不錯。

  作為一個演員，我已經很久沒拍戲了。在alivenotdead工作，導演了幾部短片和MV，但我很開心能回歸到專業。真的很期待這次拍攝，我的沖勁與日俱增。

  Alivenotdead網站男孩們最近將會非常忙，我們要增加很多很酷的新功能，後面兩個月還有更多藝術家加入。工作別太辛苦了! 我很快會回來和你們一起努力的。

  也很期待跟你們分享一些照片! 來拍戲前我買了一臺新相機，我會用它在這裏拍照片的。

• Thanks To Everyone Who Helped Out At Ani-Con | 感謝到動漫展幫忙的所有人！

  Just wanted to say thanks to all the volunteers that hung out with us and helped us pass out fliers at Ani-Con this past weekend!  I was there on Friday with bravoyuki, jezzjunk, andy_lau_spain,  lisamm, mandy, as well as Patrick, Bobby, Pat Lee, Aimee Chan . . . I really did have a lot of fun!  I have never passed out fliers for anything before.  Maybe for a bake-sale or something like that in grade school or something, but it was fun to be at Ani-Con with members of our site and other artists!  Events like this make me feel like our on-line community is really coming together.  It's great to see people from our site at a real event and we are hanging out and being supportive of each other! 
  
  And day 2, mad props to Cass and halokitty!  You girls are absolutely HOT!!!!!  And hugs to everyone that was there that day as well!
  
  Anyways a big thank you to everyone who helped out at Ani-con!  It really does mean a lot!

• Classic Rock Without The Booze! | 欣賞經典搖滾不需酒精！

  It has been a little while since I last blogged.  Have been really busy lately with all sorts of things related to alivenotdead and also preparing to go back to filming next month.  I will tell you guys more about that project in another entry.  It has been hectic for me, but last night I had some fun with some friends at Eugene and Jun's Classic Rock gig at CiXi.  The line up is sort of like an All-Star team of musicians in H.K.  It was Jun on the drums, Eugene on the guitar, Adrian from Audiotraffic was on guitar / vocals, It was cool to see them!  24 Herbs was in the house, with JBS, Phat, Eddie . . . Ryan Hui was there as was Don @ Audiotraffic, Rob . . .  always fun to see friends at a gig.  But for me, the thing that I like best at gigs is to just get lost in the music.  That and drinking large quantities of alcohol, but I didn't even do that yesterday!  Drinking water, listening to some good classic rock.  I don't know all the songs, but I can get into the vibe.  Catching up with friends, it was a good way to end a longish day. 
  
  Eugene was his usual amazing self as was everyone else.  The highlights of the evening is definitely when the band called out 24 Herbs to rap when they were playing "Walk This Way," the old Run DMC classic!  JBS stepped up, did his shout-outs, then out of nowhere, Annie comes out and starts busting the tightest rap!!!!!  I am not sure if she was freestylin' or not, but she sounded fxxking dope!!!!!  I really enjoyed that and now we have to get Annie to do MORE!!!!  Hopefully she will lay down some tracks with 24 or somethin'. The finale was cool too as JBS got Jun to sing the last song.  Good vibe, good fun, chill. 
  
  Got home relatively early and went straight to bed.  Woke up early to start my day.  I am pretty busy the next couple days.  I am really glad I didn't do my usual drinking, because I woke up this morning and felt alright for a change.  Maybe my body is telling me something and that I should establish new patterns.  Too soon to tell, but at least last night is an example of how when the vibe is good, the music is good, the booze is optional!
  

  | 有段時間沒寫博客了。最近為alivenotdead忙很多事情，下個月準備重返大銀幕，關於這個我會再詳細告訴你們。忙得團團轉，但昨晚和朋友們去看包以正和Jun在Cixi的經典搖滾演出還是很享受，差不多是香港音樂家的全明星演出陣容。Jun打鼓、包以正演奏吉他、Audiotraffic的Adrian配合吉他和演唱。演出很精彩!24 Herbs也來了，JBS、Phat、Eddie…還有許懷欣、Audiotraffic的Don、Rob…看到朋友們的演出總是很開心。對我來說，最享受的是沈浸在音樂中，再喝些酒助興。但昨晚沒喝酒!聽著經典搖滾音樂，我只喝了水。所有歌曲我都不熟，但很容易就沈浸其中。和朋友們在一起，快樂地結束了漫長的一天。

  包以正跟其他人的演出象往常一樣精彩。當晚的高潮出現在樂隊表演經典老歌"Walk This Way"時，請出24 Herbs表演rap。JBS先出來，接著Annie做了語速很快的rap!!!!!不曉得她是不是現場編詞，但真的很厲害!!!!!!我很喜歡她的演出，一定會邀請她多做些表演!!!!!想請她跟24 Herbs一起錄音或做其他合作。結束時JBS跟Jun一起唱了最後一首歌。氛圍很好，很開心，真棒。

  後來我早早就回家睡覺，第二天很早起床開始工作。接下來的幾天我會非常忙。很開心沒跟以前一樣喝酒，今早醒來時覺得這樣的改變真好，也許我的身體在提醒我要開始新的生活方式。現在做決斷可能還太早，但至少昨晚證明，有好氣氛、好音樂，可以不需酒精助興!!

• A Scary Moment . . . | 驚心一刻… | 惊心一刻…

  Last night a few of us were in the alivenotdead office hanging out.  It was Angela's last night in H.K and after her dinner, she brought Keavin to hang with us at the office.  It was a lot of fun!  It is not very often that we get to play with a 2 year old, and Keavin is as adorable as a 2 year old boy can be.  We were all having a great time, Keavin was jumping up and down on the sofa while we were playing catch with him with a very tiny nerf football.  Some of my other friends were also up here for a visit, and we all took turns playing with Keavin and catching up with Angela before she returns to the States.  Keavin was sitting in one of our office chairs at one point.  One of us started to spin him around in the chair and he was having lots of fun.  I got to the chair and started to spin him around as well.  When I stopped the chair from spinning after a few moments, Keavin lost his balance and fell to the ground.  Smack!  Keavin has hit his head on our office floor.  He started to cry immediately and his mother rushed over to pick him up and comfort him. 
  
  I didn't think it was so bad at 1st.  The chair was not very high off the ground and I could not see any bumps and bruises on Keavin's head after his fall.  But he kept on crying and after a while we all began to wonder Keavin might be really hurt!  We decided to take him to a hospital.  Late at night, myself, Angela, another friend, and Keavin, still crying, walking into the ER of the hospital.  I don't remember the last time I was so worried and scared.  I am not around kids much and the last thing I would ever want to see is Keavin getting hurt because he was playing with me and I didn't watch him properly.  All of us were very tense, as the ER waiting room is not one of the most friendly places you can be.  So many thoughts were going through my mind as I was watching my friend comfort her son calmly and patiently.  I have never heard a child cry so much and as time was passing, I grew progressively more worried and uneasy.
  
  In the end, it turned out that Keavin was fine.  He finally stopped crying after some time and by the time he was on his way home his smile was coming back to his face.  I learned a few things from last night.  Life as we know it is very very fragile.  At any moment something could happen that can change its dynamics forever.  There is nothing greater and more pure than the love between a mother and her child.  And on a less serious note, I really need to be more careful around kids and should probably not have kids of my own anytime soon!
  
  Take care Angela and Keavin!  You 2 should be asleep on the plane while I am writing this.  Hopefully I will see you guys again soon, minus the spinning chairs of course!
  
  

  | 昨晚好幾個同事在alivenotdead辦公室，也是Angela在香港的最後一晚。晚餐後她帶了Keavin來，我們玩得很開心!很少有機會跟2歲的小孩玩，Keavin也非常可愛。我們用一個很小的足球來拋Keavin，於是他在沙發上竄下跳。其他幾個朋友來找我，我們輪流跟Keavin玩，找Angela聊天。Keavin那時站在一個椅子上，有人轉椅子把他逗得非常開心，我也過去轉椅子，過了一會椅子停止旋轉後，Keavin失去平衡摔倒了，砰!他的頭撞到了地板，於是大哭起來，Angela立刻沖了過來抱他起來安撫。

  開始我沒想到後果嚴重，椅子離地面並不遠，Keavin的腦門後面也沒有起包或淤青。但他不停的哭，後來我們懷疑他真的受傷了，決定帶他去醫院。於是我、Angela、還有一個朋友帶著一直哭的Keavin去醫院掛急診。已經記不得上一次象這樣著急、害怕是什麽時候了。我跟小孩子接觸不多，很不願Keavin是因為跟我玩，沒被照顧好而受傷。在急診等候室我們都很緊張。看著我的朋友那麽冷靜又耐心地安撫她的兒子，我想了很多。從沒聽過小孩哭得這麽厲害，隨著時間過去，我越來越焦急和擔心。

  最後醫生說Keavin沒什麽事。過了一會他不再哭泣，回家的路上又開始笑了。昨晚的事件讓我領悟了很多：生命象我們想象的一樣脆弱，任何時候都有可能發生改變命運的事情。世上沒有什麽比母親和孩子之間的愛更偉大更純潔的。還有一個不重要的啟示：跟小孩相處時我要更小心，或者暫時不要有自己的小孩!

  保重，Angela和Keavin!我在寫這篇時你們倆可能正在飛機上睡著呢。希望很快再見面，當然不再轉椅子了!
