• TVB Is Not Letting Alive Perform On Solid Gold!!!!!!

  I just found out from my manager today that TVB would not be letting Alive perform on Solid Gold this Sunday. The reason they gave us for taking us off their program is that we have been working too closely with another T.V station in recent days, so they now no longer want to put us on their show. I have heard from other singers that TVB can be very political when dealing with singers, but I never thought that Alive would face the same problems since we are not under contract with TVB. I think TVB is being very unreasonable and unfair to us and to those who want to see us perform. Channel V is the T.V station they were referring to and I don't really see how working with a regional satellite music channel is in any conflict with a local free T.V station like TVB. I can understand their concerns if we were working with a direct competitor. In my opinion TVB's decision to take Alive off Solid Gold is a direct reflection of their policy to monopolize T.V music distribution in Hong Kong. I feel very sad that because of TVB's decision, those without access to satellite T.V in H.K will not be able to see Alive perform. I also feel it is our duty to let everyone know that Alive and our management company have been very cooperative with TVB up to this point and were in no way a cause for TVB's decision to take Alive off Solid Gold.
  
  To those of you who follow Alive on alivenotdead.com, please let us know your thoughts and feelings about TVB's decision. I am very sorry you will not be able to see Alive on Solid Gold.

  我今天才從經理人那裏得悉：TVB不會讓Alive上這個星期日的「勁歌金曲」。理由是：我們這些日子以來，在別的電視台出現得太多了，所以無意再讓我們出現在他們的節目裏。
  我從其他歌手那邊聽說：TVB處理歌手問題是很政治化的，但我不認為Alive也該面對同樣的問題，因為我們跟TVB並沒有合約。
  我認為TVB對我們和想看我們演出的人都很不合理和很不公平，Channel V是他們提到的一個電視台，但我看不出這個衛星音樂渠道跟免費的電視台如TVB，之間會有甚麼衝突，因為他們根本不能算是競爭對手。以我所見，他們把我們抽出「勁歌金曲」，反映的正是：他們的政策是想攏斷香港音樂的播放渠道。

• We Are Working To Get More Content To You!

  Just got back from Taiwan and am now hard at work in H.K. We had a wonderful concert and a fabulous time in Taipei. Today we began shooting 2 music specials for Channel V. Music Fantasy is what they call it and the specials will feature 2 of our new songs. We will let you know when the songs and the specials will be released when we know.
  
  Over the last couple weeks, we have done more than a few events in H.K and Taipei to promote Alive and alivenotdead.com. We have accumulated quite a bit of photos and video, but because we have been working almost everyday, we have not had the chance to organize the content to post onto the site. I just want to let everyone know that you will be begin to see some new photos and videos on alivenotdead.com this week. We have photos from our 1st press conference, video from our 1st concert in H.K, and we will also be doing a feature on a local punk/rock band in H.K named Hardpack, which includes music, photos, and video. In the coming weeks you will be seeing more new videos and photos from our various events and from our friends, as well as new songs and MV's from Alive. Thanks for your patience up to this point. I hope you enjoy the new content we will post this week. We will do our best to catch up with our schedules and post new content regularly on this site from this point on.

• Just Finished The Taiwan Show!! | 在台灣剛演完！

  I am tired, but running on a high still. I don't think any of us have ever performed in front of so many people before. Think it was around 50,000 people at this show! Some of the people that went to the show waited for hours in the rain just to get a good spot to see the show! I felt bad seeing them get soaked all afternoon. It is so much fun travelling with the boys and working with them in another city. We have been friends for a long time, but over the last couple weeks, I feel we are finally coming together as a group. It is different when you are working together. Even if you are friends, it doesn't mean that you can work well together. We have very different personalities in the group. We don't always agree with each other. But if there is one thing that I will take away from this Taiwan trip is that Alive is finding its chemistry and we are going to have a lot of fun with each other from this point on. I have never been a part of a group before. I have always kept to myself and never felt the need to be a part of a big group. Even in school I was always an individual. I am beginning to understand why it feels so good to have some stand next to you when you are doing something. I have a lot of warm feelings for the boys right now! I am very proud of them and of us!
  
  Some thank yous I think are in order. Big ups to Channel V for giving us the opportunity to perform! Special thanks to Rachel Chan, who has taken such good care of us during this trip. To our H.K fans that flew all the way to Taipei to see our show, thanks for your support! To all the Taiwan fans who gave us such a warm reception while we were here! To the Alive crew that keeps us running smooth, thank you, we cannot do this without you!

  但這是個多姿多彩的旅程，跟一幫兄弟在另一個城市工作。我們都是老朋友了，不過，直到過去數週，我才真正感受到我們是個團體，大家在一起工作的感覺和純友誼有很大的分別。朋友不代表可以愉快地共事。我們這個團體裏，每個人都很有個性，我們不是每件事都意見相同，但這次的台灣之行，令Alive彼此間激起化學作用，而使我們找到更多的樂趣。我從來沒試過作為團體的一份子，我一直是「獨行俠」，沒想過要成為一個大集團中的一員，就連在學校裏，我都是「個體戶」。但其實在你做甚麼的時候，能有個團隊在你身邊感覺會很好，我現在就因有眾兄弟同行而感到溫暖。我更因是他們的一份子而感到自豪！

• Sorry For All The Download Problems! | 為所有下載問題致歉！

  We have heard that many people that have gone onto our site have had problems downloading our song and our videos. Just want to let you all know that we are working on correcting this problem and download times should be much faster in the next week or 2. When we started the site we didn’t anticipate so much traffic for the site. Since August 2nd, we have already had over 6.5 million hits to our website! Thank you so much for all your support thus far! We want you all to continue to enjoy alivenotdead.com and we will work to get the site to be able to support all the traffic we have received.
