One of the 1st things we would like to do with the new alivenotdead is to support some of our friends, who are making some really good music.
Many people may not be too familiar with this, but there is actually a very strong Indie Music Scene in H.K where you can find some really good Hip-Hop, Metal, Alt and Punk Rock!
I never knew about this until I moved to H.K and started going to some of their gigs and performances. Over time we all became friends and we would hang out with them at their gigs and at parties.
In “The Heavenly Kings,” the music in the soundtrack are done by some of these H.K Indie musicians. Now that the new website will be ready soon, we want to use to new website to properly showcase and introduce them to all of you. Personally I think the Indie Music Scene is very important to the health of the music scene in general because Indie musicians are the innovators. They work independent of the mainstream which allows them to experiment more and break new ground.
I think it is really important to support the Indie Scene especially in H.K because the mainstream market here currently does not recognize and support them. So in our way, we want to support the Indie bands/musicians, our friends, and help develop a more vibrant H.K Indie Music Scene. For us it is simple. When our friends play at bigger gigs to larger audiences, we will be hanging with them at their shows and parties! We will simply have more fun as they grow!
After we re-launch, check out the bands and musicians we will be featuring. Listen to their music, watch their video clips, and interact with them through their blogs and forums. I am sure you will see why we all love their music so much and find them so inspiring!

很多人可能不知道，在香港，其實有很好的獨立音樂，範圍包括：Hip Hop（數白欖）、Metal（重金屬）、Alternative Rock（另類搖滾）和 Punk Rock（龐克搖滾）。
我向來都不曉得香港有這些音樂，到我看到他們的演出，我才知道。漸漸地，我們成了朋友，然後，常會在他們的演出或一些派對上混在一起。「四大天王」裏的音樂，就是一些香港獨立音樂人製作的。
目前網站快做好了，我們想用新的網站好好地把這些樂隊和音樂人介紹給你們認識。我自己覺得獨立音樂對整個音樂市場的健康非常重要，因為獨立音樂會創新，不會受主流音樂的模式所困。
獨立音樂的創意，是帶動主流市場的必須品，我覺得我們應該要支持香港的獨立音樂，因為現在的主流市場並不支持和認同它們。所以，我們就想用我們的方法，來支持我們這些做獨立音樂的朋友，讓香港能建立起一個更活躍的獨立音樂環境。我們的出發點很簡單，就是要讓我們的朋友有更多的觀眾和更多的表演機會，我們就會跟他們混在一起玩﹔他們的成長越成功，我們混在一起玩得也會越開心。
新網站推出之後，我希望你們會注意一下這些樂隊和音樂人，聽聽他們的音樂，看看他們的影片，用部落格跟討論區跟他們溝通。我相信你們會看得到我們為甚麼會那麼喜歡他們的音樂，和在他們身上得到那麼多靈感！
