2008 has so far brought with it a few gigs at the arts centre, which i must admit i don't really venture to that often.
firstly there was eason chan playing at hamer hall, hmmm, i think it was during easter...no canto-pop gig has ever been played at a proper concert hall before so it was really interesting...and quite nice and intimate...

the sunday just past i went to check out 'the anoushka shankar project' - anoushka shankar being ravi shankar's daughter and also a well established sitar player...man, it was pharkin' awesome...and the tabla drums...wow, just the amazing sounds that you get out of these instruments!! hell, all the other musos were brilliant too...a good mix of traditional and 'fusion' pieces...well worth checking out if coming to a town near you...

and this week i am being drawn back to the colourful spire for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's 'Space Classics' - themes from ET, Star Wars, 2001 etc....oh man, i really really really hope they will play the Imperial March...
OK, this website should tell me i have now done 60% of my profile...over n out...
