    Work Soliloquy:
" Time doth not ,like the babbling brook run quick and playfull but more akin to the vast and o'er frigid ice of northen climes,it's bulk grinding along inches to the decade indeed the Sloth would in vexation lose all semblance of fortitude"
"And what foul and intemperate Djinn did form this Devilish compact? as the very minutes of our existence slip by to the clink copper pennies deemed fair recompense..So shall ambition ever be measur'ed by the proffered coin of Slavery and our bonds be cover'ed over with the hue of gilt"
So onwards ,head bowed beneath the weight of incessant and mindless drudgery do our Souls die by the second while those of more fortunate condition conceal their ignoble cachinnation behind punctilious aspect"

it's hot and busy in the Park thanks to the gazillion Mothers that apparently inhabit the great Austin area..I realize that doesn't effect the temperature but I feel like blaming somebody :)

Went to see Echo and the Bunnymen last night , having never seen them before I was suitably impressed not only by their workman like approach and insistence on quality but also by the fact that Ian Mculloch's regular speaking voice is practicaly incomprehensible due to a wicked smoking habit and an extreme Liverpool accent..and yet he can sing beautifully..

Thor was a good film ,not great but fun. Natalie Portman still looks like a kid, amazing. I liked Hiddleston's Loki a lot and Hemsworth did a decent job as the titular character..had all the ladies swooning I'm sure. Being a bit of a mythology nerd I was slightly disappointed by some minor things until I remembered that this was based on the Marvel comics take on Asgard. Lastly.. there is no reason at all to see this in 3D unless you dig Buddy Holly so much you'd take any chance to emulate his style.

My foot hurts, I dropped a large network printer on my toe this morning..my sciatica is also giving me a hard time today..Only yesterday I had a boxing lesson that was fantasticaly fun and difficult..medicine ball and more importantly Mitt work..he said I had good pop on my shots and pretty good movement..I didn't take it personaly, I told him it was the result of one his trainers obsession with form that must have helped..anway this bit of randomness is more about the losing the consideration of "Self" which as Bruce Lee has said is ultimantly a hinderance. As it is I feel best when I'm training because it forces me into the moment and there is suddenly no noise in my head ,negative or otherwise. I only wish I could stay there.

I was finally able to call customer support. They opened my account again, but now I have to re-download the program so it might be a little while before I'm back on. Just FYI.

When I reached level 20 I tried to subscribe and then they banned my account because I was trying to upgrade a US based account from China with my US credit card. Apparently the only way for me to "confirm" my account is to be in the U.S., so for the time being they have made it impossible for me to play. Which kinda sucks...

Same crap, different day. See? I'm just a curmudgeon at this point. Just ignore my movie reviews. But I expect a lot more than I'm getting these days. I actually have enjoyed more TV than movies lately. I'll finish watching Season 2 of Downton Abbey tonight, and it has been excellent. Game of Thrones was pretty good too. Boardwalk Empire.

I'm embarking on a clean-up the house and get the hell out of here program over the next few months. Let's see how that pans out.

Other than a one liner, I'd like to hear your take on Perry. I wouldn't vote for him in the general election (as disappointed as I am in Obama) but I like to keep my eye on the Republican candidates. I always hope they nominate the most exteme MF.

She's had little mini-strokes, transient ischemic attacks, TIAs they're called. They do little spots of damages here and there and in my mom lots of places in her brain. I'm sure there's other deterioration going on inside the brain but there's not a thing to do about it beyond what's being done. It's a long story, but we enjoy all our time with her (except her occasional rages brought on by confusion). Today, walked about a mile with her. She enjoyed the trees covered in spring flower, the ducks and geese, and the babies playing in the park. Actually SSG, I like her more now than when she was completely together---she's nicer, she stops and smells the flowers. Crazy, I know, but the truth.

Ha, it would seem you and I have been doing the same thing! Are you still in, was it, Texas?

I've been doing pretty well! At least nothing worth complaining about. Do you still post around the jet forum a lot? I'm trying to work my way back in, though it's been hard as hell. lol.

It's already looking better this afternoon. We may be ale to get my one aunt into the Dementia Facility close to our home -- nice, caring people. My other aunt is dying of cancer but she's had a great run (almost 92). She totally has her wits about her. I don't know if in her condition that's fortunate or unfortunate..... And my mom is still the same but somewhat stabilized. She has cancer (melanoma) but it doesn't seem to be progressing, but the vascular dementia unfortunately limits her ability to communicate. But hey, she loves the shit out of America's Funniest Videos!!!! Dogs, cats, babies and ball-busting shots make her laugh out loud so hard.

I've always wanted to visit down there, and I keep threatening. Some day!

Miserable. Got some older generation coming down all at once and it ain't fun. My pact with my son is one good mainline and then I'm done. Cancer? No way. Dementia? So not fair. I love my family but this is not what I want for them.

Glad you asked? hahaha Sorry. We all muddle through. But one of these days, I swear, I'm comin' to see you and we're gonna do the town. I'll try to get there BEFORE I'm in the wheelchair. No, presently, you would not be embarrassed to be seen with me. Whether you could keep up is another story. lol

Shaping up same as every other year, one step forward, two steps back. I sense a pattern.

Crazy weather for you Texas types, huh? We've been in the deep freeze since later November. Below average all the time. And snow cover for a month and a half. Sucks big time.
