Lately, I’ve been over obsessed with music. Eventhough, I know very little about music. I’m just so inspired by various composers and singers around the world. I’ve been playing piano for almost nine years, and hope I’ll contine to play while I go to college. Not many people know that I’ve always thought of majoring something with music. It is very complicated, because it is a huge risk. It can be harder work and studying than many other subjects... I just love music. It's a powerful way to tell a story.. I might be brainwashed by influential music artists. I blame these great music artists for giving more confusion to youthful people, like me...
Yes, Mozart is the real music genius. Despite that he died in such a young age, he truly was born to make beautiful music. He even passed away in his bed while writing music.
Wang Leehom is simply my favorite American Taiwanese singer. His songs don't really have a music genre. There is a lot of different ranges of music he has. Rock, ballads, jazz, hiphop, r&b, rap, with a mix of chinese opera.. He has such a huge personality that I respect very much. I went to two of his concerts, which were very exciting and memorable. This year, I went to the the Music Man concert at Las Vegas. It was one of the greatest experiences I've had. I was so nervous during the signing party. I'm so glad and lucky that I was able to meet him! I shook his hand and got his signature. whoop that make my life!... As you can tell, I can keep ranting about him forever, but I'll stop it from here.. Let's see my other singers..
Jay Chou is a famous Taiwanese singer. The media has compared Leehom and Jay Chou through out these years. I can't say who is better. They are both my favorite singers in different reasons, who contiune to change asian music history massively.. I love Jay's songs, because he mixes different genre of music together. Which makes a very unique sound. My ears are always drawn to the songs everytime I listen.. Even though, some of the songs sound similar to each other. There isn't many Taiwanese singers like him. When I first heard Jay, I disliked his voice. In the beginning, he didn't start off as a singer yet, but simply was a music composer who wrote songs for other singers. I'm glad that the music company was able to, finally, accept him as a singer after so many years.. He has improved a lot in his voice these past years. I'm just impressed how much he has improved. Sometimes when I'm listening to his love songs, it makes me want to cry. just love Jay's sweet and emotional voice.
I only have a few favorite Japanese singers, and Mika Nakashima is one them.. I don't know the language, but I just enjoy listening to Mika's unique, gorgeous voice. She is the one who let me enjoy beautiful jazz and up beat rock music. I must admit she is also a beautiful model too.
So this a little taste of my music life..
