Things Happen for a Reason

I need a vacation! My last vacation was in May and it's almost October. I am over worked and over tired! Thank goodness I have 2 days off at the end of October. I am heading to West Palm Beach Florida! I get to relax and eat awesome seafood ... and of course hang out with my God Kids and friends.

Work has been slow, but still a lot of things to do. I can't wait till my boss comes back, but that's not till 2011. Our temporary boss is not like our boss ... but you do what you got to do for the time being.

So my mom used a calling card to call Asia like 2 weeks ago. I was looking at my cellphone bill and wonder why it was so high. When I saw the charges to Asia, I was like, WTP!?

So I called her up and she's like, no way, I used it correctly, etc. So I talked with T-Mobile and they said they couldn't do anything about it. The only thing they could do was put me on block international calls. I got frustrated because I am a long time customer and all they could offer was block international calls. I could do that myself and it's free. I just wanted the charges to be waived. But no, they didn't help. I am so frustrated with them I've decided to switch carriers ... to Verizon. On that note, I do have a friend of a friend who is the manager of a T-Mobile store and he said he'll see if he could waive the charges but no guarantee. If he does, great, if not, not so great ... but I'll still switch carriers. T-Mobile's service is quite shotty anyway. Half the time at certain places I can't get reception. I mean, I do love their phone selection & SIM card usage ... but 99.5% of my family has Verizon. I think that could help save some $.

The weather has been humid, rainy and windy these couple of days! Hurricane Nicole is coming up the East Coast. I hope it's not too bad, but at lease the cooler weather is coming and it's Autumn!!! Then before you know it, it's Winter and Christmas!!! Christmas is my all time favorite holiday!!!

Haha ... I am currently watching my niece and she's a good girl watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! I don't like her running around which means I have to run after her. She's sitting right next to me as I type. Thank goodness for On Demand!

oOoo, I am pondering if I should go to HK/TW next year or on a cruise! I've been to HK many times, but I miss the shopping and eating and seeing family/friends! What to do!? But then I miss cruising and my parents always wanted to go! I do wonder what they would do since they aren't beach people and I've been to Alaska already. I don't think my mom likes walking much either ... if only I could cruise around the world with them, that would be fun.

Okay, it's almost 9pm ... almost getting bored online. Maybe I should do some shopping. I am pondering if I should purchase Leehom Wang's Celebration Album. Seriously, how many different album types does he need? He's lurking the fans' money!!! But ... check out this MV.

Why 2nd hand? A new car depreciates in value the most the first few years. All that $ you spent for a new car goes poof! very quickly. If you buy used (from a private party, not the dealer), you're paying less bc the car's street value has already depreciated. It's a little more time-consuming to find a 2nd-hand car w/ low miles and the condition you want but, I imagine, there are lots out there. If you want to save money, spend a little time on the search, be a little more flexible and you'll be glad you did. Anyway, take a look at craiglist to get an idea.

My first 3 cars were used (between 3 - 5 years old) and I sold them after 3 years at nearly the same price I paid for them. They were Hondas and an Acura. A very good feeling.

that's a D5000. I wanted the D90, but it was a bit too expensive for me. so as a beginner photographer, I decided to get the D5000 b/c they said it has almost the same features as the D90. haha... I got it at Best Buy in a package deal. came with two lenses (the basic 18-55mm and a 55-200mm) both of them are VR lenses. The package price was $899.

OH! so you're looking for a Nikon too? let me know what you get when you get one. ;)

oh that's cool you use cafepress too. :)
yep, if the background is transparent, save the file as PNG. The image quality saves better than a GIF. Hope it comes out nice.

OH! have you ever checked out Spreadshirt? it's like Cafepress. But they have different formats of printing. If your design isn't too complicated, you might want to checkout Spreadshirt to do the flex/flock printing. =) It is quite nice!!

so sorry for a late reply. anyhoo, regarding prints on black t-shirts. I saved my images as PNG instead of GIF. PNG has better quality.

Mind me asking where are you getting your shirts printed? b/c I printed a shirt at Cafepress with one of the designs and there was a white border around the image. I think when they were printing it, the t-shirt got out of alignment that's why there's a white border. But I requested for a replacement and they sent me a new shirt at no extra cost. It came out better. =) sometimes it might not be your image that has the problem, it may be an alignment issue with the printer. hope this helps... =)

Oh, I hope you're more careful around that new nephew of yours. Don't wanna drop him. haha. I made my friend's 9-mo-old cry bc she fell when I had her sit next to me on their couch. I kinda forgot about her too bc I was trying to entertain my girls. Splat! On her face. Doh! Luckily it was only a 1-foot drop and onto the carpet. She bawled very loudly. Such a drama queen. lol.
