In a contribution to Hong Kong's growing event scene, Untitled
Entertainment and the annual Microwave International New Media Arts
Festival have come together in a creative collaboration to bring the
awe-inspiring UK artist collective The Light Surgeons to Hong Kong for
one night of audio-visual extravaganza.
VISUAL MUSIC, the
opening concert for Microwave's Festival 2009, will feature the Asia
debut performance of The Light Surgeon's TRUE FICTIONS, an audio visual
spectacle that fuses documentary film making, music, animation and
motion graphics with cutting edge digital performance tools. It is a
stunning collage of music and live cinema which explores the themes of
truth and myth; with an original musical score created through the
collaborations of 25 New York based musicians and vocal artists.
VISUAL
MUSIC will also include dynamic Beijing visualist group 8GG (8GG.com),
the Washington DC based Fort Knox Five, who plays a new style of funk
infused electronic music, as well as local supporting acts such as DJ
G, Drumtronixx and HK-based Kiwi visualist Ian McKinlay.
Untitled
Entertainment is a new music and art event production company, with an
aim to bring artistic gigs of high caliber to Asia. In its first major
Hong Kong production, Untitled Entertainment collaborates with the well
established Microwave International New Media Arts Festival
(www.microwavefest.net) to present a one-of-a-kind multimedia show that
will offer the audience brain candy in the form of aural and visual
sensory stimulation.

THE
LIGHT SURGEONS (UK) - A collective of pioneering multimedia artists
founded in 1995. Their work spans many diverse mediums; print,
photography, motion graphics, short films, exhibitions and
installations and ground breaking live audio visual performances.

FORT
KNOX FIVE (USA) - A leading force in the international funk scene.
Their world renowned "Fort Knox Sound" has overtaken dance floors with
its distinct interweaving of live instrumentation and vocals with funky
electronic breakbeats.

(China) - A multimedia duo in Beijing. Their works include music,
video, installation, drama, and web art, and have been shown in many
occasions, such as EXCESS-new media festival in Australia, CYNETart
exhibition in Germany, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center New York etc.

Scanone
(UK) A DJ and music producer, he has managed to develop a sound that
borders a myriad of underground genres, from heavy bass electro and
techno to glitched IDM and dark brooding dubstep, He has performed
alongside some of the biggest names in his field.
Drumtronixx
are a dynamic international trio rocking original music fusing
electronic, urban and tribal elements. The band consists of electronic
music DJ/Producer Giedrius Sruogis (Lithuania), Neel D. Irvin (UK) on
the electronic drum kit, Makha Diop (Senegal) on the African drums and
percussion. The drumming infectious organic rhythms mixed with current
electronic dance sound will provide an unforgettable experience for the
HK audience.

Festival)攜手合作，為今年Microwave藝術節於十一月十三日的開幕送上"VISUAL
MUSIC開幕音樂會"，帶來著名英國藝術團體The Light Surgeons 來一場非一般的視聽大匯演，門票即日起有售。
The
Light Surgeons 將帶來聞名的"TRUE
FICTION"之亞洲首演，是次表演融合紀錄片製作、音樂、動畫及動態圖像，並以最先進的數碼表演工具為觀眾獻上震撼的視聽景觀。以探索真理和神話為主
題，"TRUE FICTION"的原創音樂由25位紐約音樂家和聲樂藝術家合作創造而成。
VISUAL MUSIC 另外更邀來著名北京視覺大師組合8GG、來自華盛頓、把funk music融合新型電子音樂的Fort Knox Five，以及本地表演者，包括DJ G、Drumtronixx及駐足香港的紐西蘭視覺大師Ian McKinlay。

Entertainment是一間嶄新的音樂和藝術項目製作公司，旨在為亞洲帶來高素質的藝術性表演項目。Untitled
Entertainment 在港的首場大型項目，與踏入第13屆的Microwave Festival
