  • The hospital called

    My heart missed a beat when I received a call from the hospital which had sent my growth tissues for testing last Friday.  Usually no news is good news but I have forgotten that I left instructions for the hospital to call me regardless.  I was in the car when a nurse called and it is amazing how my mind and ears can play tricks on me.  All I heard was "cancer" so I got her to repeat what she said again.  "No cancer" she reiterated.  Relief.

    I have to go to the Urology department end of this month for the report and I suppose it will have bearing on whether further tests are required.  As I have not heard from them since 8 July, I suppose it is alright.  No news is good news.
