Craving for a bowl of wholesome soup for dinner so I scavenged my kitchen for some ingredients.  Papaya (one quarter of it would be sufficient for 1-2 serving, remove skin), a slice of fish (garoupa with skin on), 10 red dates and 6 pieces of angelica roots or "Dang Gui".

I filled my Kimchi Chigae pot with water (3/4 of pot) and bring it to boil.

Add in all ingredients to water and boil for another 30 minutes on low heat.  Heat for another 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

As simple as ABC.  Just tasted it, there is a sweetness coming from the papaya fruit.  For those who do not like fish, when the soup is ready, fish tastes like chicken.  Trust me.

    Benefits of angelica roots

PRECAUTION: Not to be used during pregnancy.

Used in the treatment of female problems such as hot flashes, menopause, PMS, and vaginal dryness. Increases the effect of ovarian/testicular hormones. The root, dang gui [Angelica sinensis], is valuable in anemia and menstrual pain, or as a general tonic after childbirth. It clears liver stagnation (of both energy and toxins) and can relieve constipation, especially in the elderly.
