What do you do if you found that your spouse cheated on you? Adultery. The third party happens to be your girlfriend. Divorce for many are inevitable for the relationship can never be the same again once an affair happened. The ease of divorce hastens the pace to end it all so conveniently.
Is divorce the only way to stop the hurt, betrayal and the confusion to the offsprings? Who is the winner in an affair which led to divorce? Many would have thought that the wife lost, and the mistress won. On the contrary, if you live long enough to hear and see, the fate of the temptress appears pathetic. Do the husband ends up as the winner? Nope. The wife of your youth do things out of love for you but a foundation based on lust with a woman will not last.
So, who is the winner? The Devil. The Devil knows the easiest way to break a family is to subject man and woman to temptation and in particular, the lust of the flesh. A divorce would mean total surrender to the Devil and the depraved state ends one as his follower.
Curious as to who My Husband's Woman is? Get your hands on this Korean drama which tells a painful ordeal of women on both sides of the story behind an extramarital affair.
Bae Jong Ok (Goodbye Solo, Lie) plays a typical homemaker whose perfect life comes crashing down when she learns that her husband is having an affair with her girlfriend. Offering perspectives from the other side of the coin is Kim Hee Ae (Precious Family, Snow Flower) who portrays "the other woman". The second highest-rated drama in 2007 after only Jumong.
My Husband's Woman caused a massive media blitz not only for Kim Hee Ae's hair-raising performance as the sexy temptress which evidently won her the Grand Prize at the 2007 Korean Drama Awards, but also for the drama's no-nonsense style and provocativeness - all masterminded by one of Korea's most celebrated drama screenwriter, Kim Soo Hyun.
In My Husband's Woman, the affair is revealed from the get-go (at the end of the first episode); the drama then shifts focus to the affair's aftermath and the psychological warfare that never seems to end. Also starring Kim Sang Joon (My Boss My Hero) as the indecisive husband and Lee Jong Won (The Golden Era of Daughters in Law) as Bae's longtime schoolmate, the drama drips with pathos while offering valuable insights into the minds of the betrayed and the betrayer.
Go watch it now. Good materials for counselling troubled couples and couples going into marriage.
