  • Legalizing sale of organs

The only country in the world which legalize the sale of organs is perhaps only Iran.  Organs in this case means human organs which may range from kidney, liver, or whatever that can be removed from a living person and transplanted to another.

So far, I have come across a young nephew who has transplanted his kidney to his sister.  A church sister who got a kidney from her brother and a church brother who went to China for the transplant as there are no suitable donor here.  Sale of organs is not legalized here so many of our countrymen risk their lives getting transplants done overseas and many met with fatality and complications after such life threatening surgery.

I am all for legalizing sale of organs as it is unpredictable as to when a change of body parts is necessary for survival.  It is also safer for the recipients of the organs as proper checks would have been conducted.

Are you in favour of sale of organs?  How do they do it in your country?

think it would depend on the health status of the donor and which organ they are giving/selling.their other kidney?if their other one is functioning well...liver?if its healthy,it can regenerate...its like blood letting/giving(its still a part of someone body,right?)....im all for it.. nyways, they need screening for compatibility.
but if someone's hurt in the process of getting the organ....or its illegal, obviously IM NOT for it. =)

I don't know about SELLING organs .. in my state (and several others, I believe) there is a method of becoming a volunteer donor .. it can be noted on a person's driver's license, and is only enacted if, God forbid, said person  passes away ..
