  • Farm & Agri Expo

    I went to a Farm & Agriculture Expo last weekend.  It's was soo hot.  I forgot to put on sunscreen and got badly sunburned on the shoulders.  Here are some photos below:

    Thought it was going to rain, but it was a nice, sunny day:

    A map of the Expo grounds..... so huge, I walked until my legs hurt.

    This is a HUGE cow!!


    Got a tour on how sugar cane is processed:


    In the old time days, manual labour..... the horse grinding the sugar cane.  Poor horsie...

    When finished, a dark brown thick consistency:

    Had spicy, jerk pork for lunch!  Yummy... Cooked the authentic way on coal and logs:


    Bought some plants..... the prices were good, especially for the orchids!

    Don't know the name of this plant but it's so pretty and unusual!  The vendor said it's from Trinidad.


    In summary, it was an OK expo but could have been organised better!  Next year I'll try to remember to wear sunscreen!

    I think in the older days animals were treated better because we had to rely on them so much for our work, I guess it can be better to be worked then neglected. Still I'd rather a human do it!.
