  As previously announced I went with my colleagues for a two-day trip to Berlin as a team event mid of September. Because I took sooo many pics I decided to split the pics into locations instead of days. I can hardly remember the names of all the buildings and their architects -  I apoligize for that, but it was simply tooo much .

  Last weekend I was on an asian festival called "Spirit Asia" in Nuernberg.
  The first day we spent on the festival, enjoying exotic food and various performances. The second day we did some sightseeing in an absolutely amazing old town before we went back home.
  

• Birth of a Skyscraper - Opernturm

  As I promised, I took the first pics of the construction site of the Opernturm (in english: opera tower) and I'll add some more from time to time.
  This got to be a  long term project, because the laying of the foundation stone was in August 2007 and the construction may last till 2009!
  At the moment they work 24/7 which is essential to the success to the construction. So the plattform around the elevator and supply wells will move upwards continously so that the nucleus will be poured in one piece...
  
  Update: On 15th Dec. 2007 they almost finished 5th storey of the scyscraper and 2nd storey of the entrance building
  
  Update: 09. Feb. 2008: third storey of the basement building completed...
  
  Update: 24. Feb. 2008: Start of another storey for the basement building

  Update: 03. March 2008:
  Architect: Prof. Mäckler, Frankfurt
  Project Developer: Tishman Speyer
  Added animation of the completed project.
  Completion estimated for 3rd quarter of 2009

  Update 15. March 2008: 5th storey of the basement building completed and the next already started.

  Update 31. March 2008: Two storeys of the basement buildings got windows.

  Update 19. April 2008: Basement builsing almost completely fitted with windows. The highrise is growing.

  Update 31. Mai 2008: More than 50% of the storeys already constructed! As I read in a newspaper they only need four to five days for one storey!!!
  
  Update 15. July 2008: Already 122 m done!
  

• Frankfurt 7 - Office and more

  I received an invitation for a promotion event for an office building through a friend on thursday evening and so we had the opportunity to check the view of the skyline from this building and have a pleasant evening with some good music of various kinds, some fingerfood and also take a look at some contemporary art of four artists Rubrecht, Schnitzer, Streit, Wenzel presented in the 15 th floor which was turned into a special area for events...haven't heard the names before but partly really interesting works of various kinds, like tables and chairs out of steel, glass, leather and stone, paintings of different kinds, photography and video installations...
  
  Many other friends joined us, some I met by surprise, so we spent a pleasant evening and enjoyed the view to the skyline of Frankfurt...
  

• Dragonboatfestival Frankfurt 2008

  As promised some pics from the second day of the dragonboatfestival here in  Frankfurt, taking place in early summer every year. I went there to support some friends from the ASBC-roundtable who participated in the only asian (90%) team racing in an open class. There were 4 or 5 different classes included in the festival, like a school cup, a professional cup, a sports cup and a company cup. The team of my friends participated for the first time in the open cup or fun cup and  won it!!
  
  I spent a really great day with them. And I hope I can participate next time as well
  
  Here also some pics taken from one my friends from day 1 and day 2.
  
  Tell me your opinion about the way we celebrate it. (It is more a sportive event here)
