depression - or can you accept new aims coming your way?

This is a question I asked myself today. Am I able to accept the new aims and challenges coming my way? They comprise new financial insecurity and a lot of things to learn, because it means to enter new businesses for me. On the other hand I have so many people around me who encourage me and the new aims challenge my whole me and give me a lot of satisfaction...but will these people catch me if I fall and need help once more??

In this economy none of us have a choice. I think it is a lot easier to face these new directions because that is the way the wind is blowing. Trial and error - try and fail - get up and try again. That is the time-tested method for moving ahead. You don`t need help you just need to accept the human condition -- we ALL are in this together. Don`t you ever help others? Do you think they sit around self-flaggelating about it? So....what`s next? Success is measured by where you ultimately end up not by the state you are in every inch along the way. hahaha I am feeling so WISE this morning....I am even making up my own BS cliches.

You can do and say that to yourself "Yes I can do it".You may or may not have so many people arround you to help you to reach your aim.But it's you who has to make your own way to reach your aim and just go ahead with positive thought.I am sure you have certain plans to reach your goal or business. You can take ideas from so many people. But you know what you are going to do what is best for me. I am telling you all these things because I am working on my goal like that way and I know I can achieve that.In my case I want to do all by myself though my dad wants to help me.But I said NO to him. It's not that I have a problem with him.But I want to do it by my own and all contribution of my goal will be mine.Yes,I do take ideas from everyone and give importance to their thoughts. But I know what I have to do.So,my dear friend, just think positive and be positive always.I am sure you can do it :)

Of course Silky--notice the words of 'course'. May you slowly make the changes you need to to be a little at ease in these changes. As a friend to you--yes i would catch you if you fell and guide your hand back up again. You Silky are a strong person with courage that is seen by many. If these people don't offer you with 'the best of their ability that they hold (be understanding too) at these moment's' then they are really of no use to you and what is the point in even cohering with these people. You have accepted these aims push through and you will wonder why you even have doubt. May this bring you peace, dear Silky. :)

Hmm....I love these complex questions you pose! ^^ Another idea dear Silky, is to look at things from a philosophical point of view. Look at things in your current life as a challenge and believe that you ARE reinventing yourself, as you always have. I find I'm more or less in the same boat as you right now. Despite my recent successes in business, I find I'm still having to cope with the language and customs of my home country, after having moved back here 3 years ago. I don't look at it as necessarily bad, but that it is something fresh and new, and keeps me on my toes, to test the knowledge I have gained. I've never really worked and lived in HK before, and this is something new I'm going to have to deal with. The best way forward is to face whatever you are going to face, with conviction, dignity and courage. Try to do whatever you need to do everyday, and do not worry about it if you have put in all your effort 100%. Just let nature take its course, and do not worry about the outcome, whatever it may be. If it doesn't work out at the end, try something else. But if it works out then we all know what it is. :) As my Buddhist master once told me, 'Do every small task in your life everyday, and you will complete the big tasks in your life everyday'.

Talking of depression, you should read this story this morning. It's of a South Korean supermodel who recently committed suicide in Paris, apparently due to overwork and heavy stress. Luckily some of us are not in such frames of mind, but it's scary to say the least: http://www.thestandard.com.hk/breaking_news_detail.asp?id=17090&icid=4&d_str=20091120
