Hybrid Space Lab is a lab and a network in which architects, urbanists, landscape architects and environmental planners, designers, soft- and hardware engineers collaborate in the development of projects for combined analog and digital, urban, architectural, design and media spaces. The relation of the digital service-environments and artefacts to our material architectural and urban surroundings and objects is central to our strategic research agenda.
Hybrid Space Lab is collaborating with a leading trend research company and has been asked to join the think tank of one of the biggest global management consulting firms. Professor Frans Vogelaar is part of "Plan 111", an "excellence initiative" of the Chinese government inviting 1.000 overseas talents from the top 100 universities and research institutes worldwide to establish innovation centers at the Chinese universities.
