As I told you I was off to a team event of my company to Berlin last week. Today I finally found some time to upload the pics in five Photoalbums which I sorted after locations not after days because they are too numerous:

Album 1 - Berlin Sept. 2008 - around Kudamm and Bahnhof Zoo

Album 2 - Berlin Sept. 2008 - around central railway station and Government Quarter

Album 3 - Berlin Sept. 2008 - around Wilhelmstraße, Friedrichstraße and Gendarmenmarkt

Album 4 - Berlin Sept. 2008 - Brandenburger Tor and Unter den Linden

Album 5 - Berlin Sept. 2008 - Alxeanderplatz, Hackesche Höfe, Museum Island and Nicolaiviertel

We arrived for lunch at Thurday noon at the Hotel Lindner am Kudamm - which was very delicious. Unfortunenately most of our room weren't finished yet so I got mine after we came back late in the evening...
After lunch we split into two groups and had a city tour with a guide which last almost 4 hours. Our guide also an ongoing architects was like a walking library and he had very interesting stories to tell. For dinner we met up at the cafe Nö a small but excellent cafe somewhere in the former eastern part of Berlin. After dinner we walked to the Potsdamer Platz - which is fully constructed an impressive view at least from the east - to a theatre to watch the Blueman Show. To be honest I do not know what I should think about the show. I liked parts of it like the drum performances but disliked some parts of it.

On day two we started with a walk in the western part of the city around our hotel  and did a nice boattrip on the river Spree. For lunch we went to a restaurant called "12 Apostel" which is located in the construction of the central metro/train track which goes through Berlin from the east to the west and is located in the first floor. In the afternoon we went to see the Hackesche Höfe - a unique refurbishment of a traditional quarter - and to the Alexanderplatz where we visited a newly constructed shopping and office complex as well as the "Alexa" a new shopping centre.
In the evening we went back to the hotel to change clothes and then went to the club "40 seconds" somewhere in the middle of nowhere, close to the Potsdamer Platz where we had an excellent buffet for dinner and stayed there for some clubbing. most of the audience were spoiled rich kids and youth...I think we lifted the average age somewhat...
On Saturday morning we slept late and took back the plane home around noon...

    Finally some impressions for you:

    (my hotel room)

(the office complex Kranzler Eck close to our hotel)

(central railway station and the government district)

    (Brandenburger Tor)

    (Reichstag)

(annex of the german historical museum)

(Pergamon museum on the Museum Island)

    (cafe Nö)

(staircase inside the theatre of the Blueman Show)

(ruins of the Palace of the Republic from the riverside)

And much, much more pics in the albums mentioned above...

Thanks for sharing your trip and your pictures!!!  Is there a visual difference or feeling between west Berlin and the former east Berlin areas?  I'm really just curious because for over half my life the two areas were separate and now they are whole again (which is the way it should be).
