  • "The reason for throwing a blade is to make it stick, yet the best way to make the blade stick is to have no desire to achieve a good hit, so in effect, the reason for throwing a blade is in fact not to make it stick, however the best indication that you are employing the principles correctly is that you can actually make it strike well, and often. This paradox reflects the Zen outlook on life, to act without desires, do something without doing it."

Whelp, its my idol Whitney and Natalie Cole doing their thing. Simply wonderful. The friendship they share in this clip on stage is just super. :)

  • One of my passions.

    Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 6:06AM / Members only

I know I have done a blog about this before in more detail, but I my imagination is bursting due to one of my favorite authors. ><

I picked up where I left off with the Laurell K Hamilton, "Anita Blake" series http://www.laurellkhamilton.org/  .  I don't know if any one has read these. Incredible books, to say the least!

I am reading book 6 at the moment. And am loving every second of it. I know, I know, when you get a good book, a nice comfy chair and a good ol' cup of tea, it is probably one of the best feelings ever! According to some, it is not one of her best books in the series, but I disagree. I am a sucker for (pun not intended) lusty-500 year old vampires that dress in black/red-frilly shirts with midnight blue eyes, pale skin and shoulder length black hair. *drool*  So you can't blame me for loving this book. Not to mention romanticism and passion. I guess that is in all these books. Oh what the hell.

I'm not one for writting reviews, so I will link them here: http://www.laurellkhamilton.org/Anita/AnitaOverview.htm

She has 16 books in this series so far.. I am very lucky that I am so far behind. It is a good thing. I will have many to read. Muahaha! Yay, for me!

Any ways, it sparked my lust on vampires, AGAIN! D'oh!   ><   It is forever in my mind, but things are always fueled by current events, don't you think?

So, I will add part of my passion in two short utubes vids. As I like to do in most of my blogs. I guess I choose visual as expression.

    Sigh!

Excellent part of this movie. Go fig!

The second one is a nice combination of one of my favorite songs of all time and parts of Bram Stokes Dracula film.

  • Great song.

One of the most beautiful songs I have seen and heard written in a long time. I love the emotion she put into this song when she sung it here in this recording. At one point you see her wipe a tear from her eye. The lyrics are just wonderful and very sad.

    Enjoy.

I just stopped by to tell you to stop being so lazy. Not like me, sitting on my ass at noon on a Saturday amidst chaos and filth. Agh, it'll be there tomorrow.

I am so sorry that I missed the posting of all those wonderful family pictures back in August. I was MIA for a while, busy busy. What a beautiful family, and now you and your mom will be getting together. Wow, what a long time to not see your mom.

    Have lots of fun.

And I think when Kai says I hate your guts it means that he loves your guts, spleen included. But you already knew that.lol

You're so literal. But keyboarding is good if some of that effort goes to posting here from time to time.

Oh, I wish I had made that bread pudding with rum sauce....I could get the recipe for it, though. My aunt made the bread pudding and my uncle made the rum sauce....probably talking like a pirate when he was making it, too! Arrrrrrrr!!!!

    You're so mean to Kai...high five, g'friend! =D

Airbending - every day - if you mean "projecting powerful gusts of wind from" my constantly open mouth, or keyboard airbending.

So wtf are you doing??? And where? You in the witness protection program or something?
