I guess I don't really have the excuse of nothing happening in my life, cos my life is definitely much more eventful than when I was home in New Zealand. I guess I tend to feel guilty for coming on to the site when I should be applying for jobs and stuff.
So, umm, what's been happening with me? I've had 7 or 8 interviews since arriving in Hong Kong. It took 3 months before I got my first interview, so they've all been in the last few months. Slowly getting there. Even if I don't find a job before my decided deadline, this has been a wonderful experience. I made some wonderful friends, and really learnt to rely on the Lord. My relationship with him has definitely grown and if I do have to return to New Zealand, or head to a different country, he will definitely be the most important thing in my life (which, unfortunately, he hasn't been for most of my life so far, though it was slowly getting there when I shifted churches a few years back).
I've become a huge fan of Jeff Caylor and have been to a few of his performances. It's kinda weird though. I've never been a fan of someone who I also get to see all the time outside of performances. In fact, I never really get to see people I'm a fan of except on stage and on the screen. But he's both the worship leader at church and a friend of a friend.
What else have I done? I've done a junk trip, a worship conference, a Spring Ball and I'm going kayaking tomorrow. And I also go out for dinner much more often than I would at home.
The junk trip was so much fun, and I can't wait to do it again. I'm definitely getting myself a can of the spray on sunscreen my friend lent me, cos I wasn't burnt anywhere. I'll have to remember to get it tonight for tomorrow's kayak trip.
The worship conference was amazing. It was nice to discover the singer of some songs I knew. And they were really funny guys too. I had a huge blast singing and laughing and just plain enjoying myself.
I have yet to attend an E.V.E.N.T. event, but I might go to the Speak Up! thing next Wednesday. When I find out where Mint is so I don't get lost - again. I've gotten lost in Central so many times, I can't even remember how many times!
Anyways, I hope you are all enjoying yourselves out there. Hopefully I come in again sooner than a month. Though I'm not sure I'm being visited anymore.
