I don't know why I signed up. But I had such a great time at kayaking last time that I decided I would try and attend as many sports fellowship events as possible. I don't think I'll do wakeboarding, but I'll try and go to as many as I can. Wakeboarding came before kayaking, so hopefully they won't pull that one out again anytime soon.
I only managed 3 metres high the first try. Made 5 metres on my second attempt. Wanted to give up at 3 metres again on the third go, but my partner (who obviously had control of the rope) wouldn't let me down. And refused to take photos til I made it to the top. I was literally screaming at her and begging her to let me down, but she refused to. I think it took me half an hour. I wasn't really into it. I just kept slowly making my way to the top by taking one step, resting, taking another step. But eventually, I made it to the top at 7 metres.
She asked me if I was glad to have done it. Honestly, by that point, I really didn't care. I wasn't totally stoked I'd made it to the top, I was just relieved to be back down on the ground.
Would I do it again. Maybe. Give me a few months.
Here's a momento. I made sure I had photos to prove I did it. They refused to take the photos til I got to the top.

I look a little dorky, but here's proof I did it! It doesn't look that high, but I was already giving up at 3 metres!
