Anticipating the busy/drunken/crazy Halloween weekend we're going to have here in HK, there probably won't be a post until I'm fully recovered, whenever that may be. I leave this blog open to you, tell me what you like/miss about San Francisco and the Bay Area in general. (Or if you are reading this on AnD, what do you like about your hometown?) Help me imagine SF again, I do miss it dearly.
For inspiration, here is one of the poems I wrote during my first week in HK that has been on my facebook. Add some verses! I'm feeling lazy.
Ode to San Francisco
I've got 3 suitcases and a fold-a-bed
4 credit cards with different marks
2 friends to crash with (and I thank my cards)
but only 1 of you and I can't forget
No, I can't forget your numbered streets
I can't forget your Clement-ine eats
I can't forget 60-degree weather
and the guys and grrls with chaps of leather
No, I can't forget the Geary 38
nor the fog from Ocean Beach to the Golden Gate
I can't forget the murals on Mission Street
nor the music there that moved my feet
She's got 3 thousand homeless children with no dry beds
4-dollar gas with no parking space
2 am last call with no taxis home
but countless charms and I can't forget
