What an amazing feeling to wake up in this dazzling city, surrounded by non stop activity, glowing lights and utterly unforgettable numerous food tastes and scents... This place is so inspiring that ideas flow in your brain at the pace of a tsunami!!
Some folks say that HK people are cold.... Well brotha' wake up!! They are as warm and friendly as it gets. For some coldness, put your sneakers on and go to Paris... (just kidding my french fellows)
And what about HK artistes... Honestly i met some seriously talented and productive souls here... You guys have an astonishing bunch of musicians and visual artists ... some of them quite outstanding... I had the chance to listen to some really good alternative Rock'n Roll created by one Hong kong true musical genius, that would make any english band extremely jalous.... indeed.
His name ? LAU YEE TATS, yeah that gentleman... his songs are really pure muical delight, soul, and energy, A great mix of rock, ethnic, original instruments and some serious serious rythms that will blow your socks off!!!!
I wonder why in such a boiling city full of talents, we mainly hear second hand shit from western countries and some overated boys band?
On this website i discovered some great musical talents as well.... how come we do not hear them on the radio more often? Not commercial enough i guess... Who decide so?? how can people choose what they really want if they have only one kind of stuff offered (aka the commercial one, the one that has very litle spirit in it... easy easy...)
But are our souls that polluted that we just swallow anything thrown in our hears, without even noticing it anymore? Are our hearts in slavery with our over-advertised minds? Emotions and souls replaced by numbers and pre-digested identities?
No way, there is always some" chi seen" enough and outrageous spirits down here to offer us some alternatives to artistic fast food.... And i guess there is a lot here on this website and community. :-)) hope so....
So thanks to the masterminds of this website for creating an alternative way...... and folks, let's rock and phunk* big time, shall we?
