Japan, always keeping it a few steps ahead...have they gone too far?
Don't know how exactly I feel about these souped up Segways.

Having a great time in Osaka as usual!!

Good food, good friends, good weather (hot as hell though).  This place is often overlooked, but if you know how to have fun, and appreciate great food, and very warm people,  Osaka has just as much to offer as Tokyo does.

  • Nagoya Days 1 & 2.

    Saturday, Jul 4, 2009 5:42PM / Standard Entry

Spent two great days in Nagoya, tomorrow will be the last...I will miss it here.  Though this town is small, it has big character and very very nice people!  Today I had a chance to visit Nagoya Castle and the Nagoya Port.  Very relaxing, but damn it was hot!!!

  • On the Road Again.

    Friday, Jul 3, 2009 3:41PM / Standard Entry

To be honest I don't read as much as I would like.  The only times that I tend to pick up a book lately are when I travel on planes or on a long train trip.  However, when I do read, it is usually at a time that the book and the author which I am reading is most relevant to my current situation.

After a long hiatus, I picked up "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac.  Being that I am somewhat at a crossroad in my on life--on a journey looking for something, this book is now much more relevant to me than when I first attempted to read it a year ago. I can now truly and deeply relate to the characters and their journeys.

And yes, I am on the road again.  This time to Japan, the first stop is Nagoya.

    aha

    *thanks for the book Dpak!!!
