  • life in monogram

    Tuesday, Jul 15, 2008 7:17PM / Standard Entry / Members only

i have an ongoing love hate relationship with vuitton. they seem to collaborate with some of the leading artist and coming up with collectors items every season, though they burn a huge hole in my pocket .... they are a work of art... they had Richard Prince, Takashi Murakami and Stephen Sprouse o name a few.

For fall, they came up a collection caled Monoflage. murakami did his magic and i am dying for one! my question... why do an amazing print and have just five pieces in city and have a million of other shitty normal monogram prints ?  the price difference between a normal monogram and these monoflage prints is only HK$2000. some skanks out there got hold of the 5 pieces before i could get my hands on them.
\\i am on a hunt for this  and the vuitton team is trying to find me one. fingers crossed and eyes shut i wait for my monoflaGE

this person inspired me since i was a kid. witty, smart and definetly business savvy,  can u guess who said these quotes :P

“A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That's why they don't get what they want.”

“Sometimes you have to be a bitch to get things done.”

‘Everybody loves you when they are about to cum.’

“I stand for freedom of expression, doing what you believe in, and going after your dreams.”

“I have the same goal I've had ever since I was young. I want to rule the world.”

“When I'm hungry, I eat. When I'm thirsty, I drink. When I feel like saying something, I say it.”

‘I won't be happy till I'm as famous as God.’

‘It is difficult to believe in a religion that places such a high premium on chastity and virginity.’

      ‘Never forget to dream.’

‘That consciousness is everything and that all things begin with a thought. That we are responsible for our own fate, we reap what we sow, we get what we give, we pull in what we put out. I know these things for sure’

‘To me, the whole process of being a brush stroke in someone else's painting is a little difficult.’

in one of our videos... we commissioned artist Kim to realise the dress i fantasied about.... A five meter long sculpture/dress made out of wire mesh which was placed on a stainless steel frame which was molded as a bodice. the video was inspired by a musical box and compassion.
    a sneak peak \
    xx\
p.s. excuse the bangles as i was still editing the wardrobe... the final piece was just the dress
