  • Happy Birthday Ryan and Dad.

    Friday, Sep 4, 2009 1:02AM / Standard Entry

2 important people in my life with 2 birthdays a few days apart and this year its gonna be a busy one.  Ryan's bday will be spent in dress rehearsal while dads will be during the show, so Happy Birthday to both of you.

I got Ryan's present and it has something to do with technology...no its not a pair of 3D glasses...hahaha.

For dad, although I got him a gift already, however there is another suprise for him and for all his fans and for all you guys! It's everybody bday today!

Before I explain anything, I have to mention that the special guest for the Hong Kong concert is the serenading, pimp,  Justin Lim

For the past year Justin and I have worked on a few music tracks. A fun project where we took my dads old tunes, kept the original sound and made them into fun dance tracks.  The point is just to have fun keeping the old sound intact.

We've been trying to plan the marketing, promotions and all that hoopla, but I can't wait any longer.  Everything is always about money, so it makes perfect sense to share this with you for free.

So may I present to you, one of our tracks "The money song"  or simply "Cheen"  "錢" (money in cantonese).  As you can guess its written for the state of economy.

The song is in English and sung by Justin (it is about money right? Or a girl? hahaha) with me doin the rap bit.  This version includes dad's vocals in the mix as well for a little more fun for the fans.   Hope you guys enjoy it. See ya'll next week!

Quick update: Its up on youku for you China peeps.

What better way than to have the old school Soul Train line dancers dance to the old school beat thats new??  These guys are amazing.

Thanks to dad for letting me have fun with his songs and being such an inspiration and allowing me to work on more of his classic tunes.  Thanks to Mr. Ass for pushing me. Thanks to Justin for melting every girls heart. Thanks to Kelvin @ Rubberband for mixing the track nicely together.

Check out the original version below!

  • Down with the fever!

    Tuesday, Aug 18, 2009 11:03PM / Standard Entry

Well, I'm happy I don't have the swine flu.  I fully blame Macau for what I've got.  I've been going in and out of sleep for the time being.  I just had an insane dream about Jackie Chan...we were filming a new film for him called "Jackie Can". hahahaha. About him being a stuntman and hurting himself once in a for all and how he struggles through his life now.  How did this happen?

I just got a new work/project that starts today (lots of software kinks and failures the last few weeks) but of all the days, today I can hardly look at the monitor.  So it'll have to wait a day or two.

Dads show prep is well on the way, poor Justin has to listen to me with the singing teacher as I scream out my vocals.  Canto is quite challenging to sing, especially when I'm not used to curvin' the words. It all sounds the same to me! hahaha.

A few weeks back I attended the Anime/Comic thingy in HK.  Never did I thought I'd buy something there, but I did.

A pair of 3D glasses.  Nerd alert.

Hee hee.  3D gaming in my own home.  The only problem is the glasses requires a specific monitor, so you really have no choice to buy the monitor too!

    So I did.

Wish I can explain it to you, but the feeling of playing games now is real immersive.  Just tried the new Batman demo and his cape really looks like its coming right at you.  You can control depth of how 3D you really want it too look.  Makes your eyes go really cross eyed, but after a while its like 2nd nature.

The motion looks kind of like this, but once the glasses are on, its pretty neat.

I'd say its par with films like UP 3D or Monster vs Aliens.  The same effect.  It doesn't really pop out at you, but it is like looking through a window and seeing layers upon layer giving it a 3D feel.  Movies do work and they are available (miley cyrus 3D concert..yea right).  I found a few and they seem to work just fine.

It's called stereoscopic and its been around for ages.  Its just nice that it can be enjoyed at home...well, at a hefty price.  Playing any 1st person shooter is nuts as the gun looks like its there. Car racing is just insane giving you the feel of being inside a car!

So, who wants to come over and play?  Or who wants to make a 3D movie? I guess you could only watch it on my monitor. hahahah

Ok. Gotta go back to sleep now.

Well, just one more quick game of Trash Box.

  • Goo goo for GaGa

    Sunday, Aug 16, 2009 3:44PM / Standard Entry

Went to see Lady Gaga summer disco party yesterday.

Getting ready for the trip.  Ida does her hair bow for gaga.

    We arrive nice n' early.

Checked out a local dance crew.

Then a  beatboxer came out playin' some JT tunes.

Stephanie gets the crowd going wild. Her outfit looked good for washing my car.

Then she stripped! Ooh la la.

Finally after waitin' a few hours Lady Gaga comes out with a bang.

Thanks to Mr.Lam and his crew for hookin' us up with the floor tickets.  We stood right in front and got plenty of close up shots.

Lady Gaga keeps the crowd going wild.

She flips off the crowd with a statement "I hate money!"

Wearing a portable disco ball dress.

    She changes multiple times.

The dancers were great as well.

She screamed at one point "where are my gay boys?" I will start using this line to call out Justin, chow patty and mr.ass...and cbfresh.

She strikes a pose holding it for several minutes.

    "Take my picture".

    "I need my dim sums".

    The mic stand is bitchin.

    ...and the keyboard.

    Just dance!

She was quite an entertainer probably the best I've seen in a while, its no wonder she's climbin the charts.

"I'm just a bitch in bubbles"  She said.

So she stripped.  She started to squat on the chair, then play with her feet on the piano.

She even climbed on top and played upside down.

And showed her ass to the world.

    Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecDmzuiBl-4

She did this version of poker face.

    Amazing stuff.

She then finished on a dance version of poker face.

    Showin' that ass again.

She takes a bow to the crowd.  It really was wild.

The last time you'll see Ida with the hair bow...until she returns!
