Merry Christmas everybody. I'm an hour and a half late, but I've got an excuse. I just got back in from China helping out my Uncle with a show (I will dedicated my next blog to him). Seems everybody is out and about doing shows. It must be the season and the $$$...Let it rollllllll.
Hope all of you have a wonderful holiday. Did you all get what you wanted? I'll share with you my gifts if you shares yours. hahaha.
Remember its all about giving and don't forget to be joyful too.
So here's an old school song from one of my fav bands in the past "quad city dj's" hahahaha.
Now I did say I have a video blog, but that will probably have to wait, because we filmed our rehearsals and may actually use the footage for a future MV! Woohoo.
For those of you who don't know, my dad had a show at the Event center in Reno NV (near Harrah's). We were all quite suprised to find the venue was nearly full. Despite the economy going to shambles, I think a lot of people had a great time just listening to dad sing. Brother Ryan and I tagged along for the show and we brought along newcomer Justin to sing some Elvis and also sing our debut song (remix of dads tune). Special guest was Shannon Lee.
Someone was bound to put up the clip, so here's a few seconds of our english vers:
There's a total of 6 clips floatin' on youtube. Check em out.
I didn't realise I had to go up on stage so many times. I was running back and forth, but overall I was really happy with the results.
I've gathered pics from everybody so I can share them with you here. So enjoy them!
Outside our Hotel room. It was freezin', but my kind of weather. You knew Christmas was coming. I was trying to win some money to buy gifts this year...oh well, looks like ya'll are gettin' cards instead.
Our pimpin' ride. While the stage and sound was being built, we got to spend a day shopping. This baby took us to Target, Best buy and the MALL!! Hot topic and spencer here I come! hahahah
Group photo just before spending $$. Dad lookin' all cozy.
Justin and I just had to take snapshots in the limo. This is how we travel. Now where's our Limo for the China shows?
Mr. Ass getting in on the action.
Trying to look cool, but you know, we're just fools.
Ryan burning his lips on some hot chocolate. The miskeen jacket kept me nice and warm.
Yep, we celebrated thanksgiving in the hotel room. Shannon came to join the party and sing with us on stage. Her mom joined in on the fun as well. I'll let you guess who is who in the pic.
Justin serenades singing Elvis to the hotel staff as they bring the mass amounts of food. Dad backs up on the guitar.
When I mean mass amounts of food...I really meant it.
Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without chinese food. hahahah
Onwards to the show:
All the pics were taken during rehearsals. Thanks Kin for the pics! Here Justin and I are sportin' our top notch clothes. Custom jackets blinged to the max to match Elvis.
Then we stripped into our T's, while Justin still wore the Elvis wig.
I'm trying to get my rap down. Dancers started to join in. The song was a last minute add-on so we were really happy the girls came out to support us.
Oh yea, oh yea, oh yea.
say whhhhat? Go ladies, go ladies, go ladies.
Now do the humpi...errrr hustle...umm the train!
Me trying to be all Celine Dionish...Justin just giving up on me.
The lovely wonderful dancers. Thanks to them, they made the stage more enjoyable to watch. The guy in blue Herbert was the dance choreographer. I tried to make him come up on stage and freestyle, but he wouldn't. What a loser. I'm forcing him next time.
Celebrating with the crew with a fantastic show. Whiskey straight up in shots. OH NO! I was pretty messed up trying to play slot machines. No wonder I lost.
Well that was fun. Ryan sang dads hit songs and rocked it out on the guitar. Shannon did a beautiful job on "somewhere out there" for her father. Of course dad brought down the entire house pretty much the whole time.
The show finished as fast as we arrived. Does that make sense? Next thing we knew we were on our way back to San Fran airport. We only did one show, so it was like zip in n' zip out.
We went on a fast food binge on the way back to the airport. Carls Jr, Jack n'the box and Dennys. mmmm.
The news talked about the attacks in India. It was like another world. Here we were entertaining people, while others were attacking. So sad.
Our final pitstop. San Fran airport. We had to stock up on magazines. I actually bought the twilight book due to all the hype. I felt like a real girl. Now I gotta finish it, cause I'm almost done. *giggles*
Next stop, MACAU VENETIAN!!!
Buy your tickets! Who wants to see me act like a fool?
I've been sick the past week and had to run to the toilet non-stop through the days and nights. My body has finally settled down. Then my xbox 360 offically died the 2nd time....
Microsoft...
In the meantime I've been browsing through AnD a lot and now I've decided to visit all my fans and visit everybody who has visited me for the rest of the night non-stop. I'm not even sure if thats enough time, so Patrick and etchy you may have to set up an AnD rehab meeting pretty soon. The effect is takin place right now...don't know what I'll do!!
Justin (the multitalented elvis freak) and I had been invited to the EDWIN jeans exhibition opening in TST, HK.
A bunch of us including my bro Ryan had a field day in the shop picking out awesome Edwin clothes.
Since the brand is Japanese, there was no way in hell the shirts were going to fit me, so I had to find my own.
I tried to be a little different so I decided to show my big ass and the Edwin logo to the press.
Well, good thing for that, cause the 2nd angle of the shot ended up in NEXT magazine!
The article mentions that my big ass and body is no match for the other artist (the guy with glasses), so I totally lost...and yet, I kinda won showin' off the logo. hahahaha. I have no competition with the skinny guys, so with that, I now dedicate this blog too all the big asses out there!
A pic with two skinny ass guys. Justin's hair combined with the people behind him makes him look like a matador! hahahah. Don sportin' the Edwin.
Speaking about BIG things. I got a new toy in the mail the other day, which I've pre-ordered for months.
I'm always trying to find the perfect mp4 player, so when I read about this ARCHOS 7, I couldn't pass up the chance. I wanted something huge and crisp! This touch screen sucker plays most formats (although some have to be bought) and it supports HD video.
BEHOLD! The new monster sitting next to my psp. They do have a 5' inch vers, but why go small? This beast packs 160 gigs and they've got a 320 gig one. Enough to store plenty of movies and music. It's got wifi as well for emails. This will be my main companion for travelling from now on.
bird B-b-b-bird, bird, bird, b-bird's the word A-well-a bird, bird, bird, the bird is the word A-well-a bird, bird, ...
On a final note. Here's a fun feature I found on my phone:
