Anyone been to Macau recently? Well, I have, and once again have left bewildered.
For someone involved / sit on the edge / knowledgeable about the entertainment industry in Asia - how other way could i feel?
Is it the three 10,000 person arena Macau will soon have? Not to mention the five 5,000 person arenas, luxury hotel ballrooms, five star hotels, casinos and other indoor and outdoor attractions.
Word is there are some huge entertainment projects coming - of course Cirque De Soleis permanently at Venetian is a good start - but folks, let me tell you, there is more. A lot more.
We in Hong Kong are sat on the edge of a phenomenon, and I for one can't wait to show Vegas how it's done in Asia.
Already we've had Beyonce, Police and Dame Edna (!). Eason Chan filled two nights at the Venetian and I'm sure many will follow suit. Well, word is that we have Akon and Bruce Springsteen on the cards! - bring it on!
Well, my events company, Purple, whilst on a different vibe, will be there to rock the show.
Keep an eye on this profile for updates on some kick ass parties we have lined up, or even better, go and check out Macau for yourself and email me ideas of what you'd like to see there. I can't get enough of it.
Oh, and remember to leave your cash card in the hotel room.
[update update.... akon, coming to HKG, not Macau. Woot!]
