Old Haunts, Abandoned Spaces. I've had an idea for an apocalypse movie for some time now, and every once and a while I head out onto the streets with my camera for some inspiration. Of course, these locations are here today, gone tomorrow, so often I'll see it from a cab, come back the next day, and it's gone. A lot of these neighbourhoods have sentimental resonance for me, especially the old Sanlitun area which, in the mid-90's, was at its peak in terms of indie down-to-earth nightspots. Please be kind, don't copy these pics without okaying it with me first!

I can see how they make a good inspiration for and apocalyptic movie, they are nice photos too, almost haunting to look at. Good Luck , hope you do the film.

wow...i really can't imagine just walking outside and seeing these sights.

Sam (司马优） is a China-based actor and director. A graduate of Melbourne's Victorian College of the Arts, Sam was raised in Manila, Taipei, Beijing, as well as his native Australia. His 2nd year student short film "Crash Test" was awarded 2nd prize for film at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2000. In addition to acting for film and TV in China, Sam now focuses on directing sino-centric films for the international market.
